Koch-backed veterans’ group to boost Ron DeSantis with direct mail (FL-Governor's Race)

Concerned Veterans for America Action announced Tuesday its intentions to wade into the Governor’s race, with direct mail on behalf of Republican Ron DeSantis. CVAA is an offshoot of Americans for Prosperity, a Koch Network initiative.

Koch support was a flashpoint in the Republican primary between DeSantis and Adam Putnam, with a Putnam spox describing “D.C. DeSantis” as “a puppet of the open-border, anti-Trump Koch brothers.”

That messaging won’t be heard again this campaign season.

The campaign, per the Koch veterans’ group, is “highlighting his dedicated support for veterans.” Expect a six-figure spend for this purpose.

“In a landscape full of negative ads, this is a refreshing spot of positive messaging, showing Floridians the good DeSantis has done for veterans over the years he has served,” asserted CVAA press secretary Kyle Buckles. “During his time in Congress, Ron DeSantis demonstrated that he was a steadfast champion for veterans and we are confident he will continue to be their champion in Tallahassee,” said Dan Caldwell, CVAA Senior Advisor.

Caldwell added that “Floridians and Florida veterans will be well served with DeSantis as governor, and we urge them to vote for him this November.”

The first mail piece, seen below, spotlights DeSantis’ efforts to improve veterans’ health case options.

This effort comes as polls seem to be tightening in DeSantis’ race with Democrat Andrew Gillum. A survey from St. Pete Polls show that Gillum leads by just two points, a number slender in contrast with polls released just last week that showed the margin as wide as nine points.

Gillum is a communist fool that will destroy Florida's economy and turn it into beachy version of Detroit, a Venezuela to the North.

The Hard Left Tool will be Koch Blocked by this ad campaign.

Obviously they do or they wouldn’t spend over $100,000 for DeSantis.

They may target particular zipcodes or only send them to veterans.

Yes, I do, for a few reasons.

1. Curiosity to see what’s being put out there- good, bad, lies, truths, smears

2. If I am uninformed on the minor races or judgeships or amendments

3. I assist elderly people to the polls and the large bold print is helpful

Robocalls are the worst.

What are the choices? Rallies, walking precincts, door hanger fliers, mail-out fliers, TV ads, radio ads, newspaper ads, signage, bumper stickers....

thanks.

our local lefty newspaper (Daily Herald) does a great job of breaking down the candidates. they run this feature every election cycle.they put candidates side by side and ask the same question(s) of both.

I suppose I need to update my philosophy...when in doubt, for judge, vote for the irishman.

If in doubt, I follow the R party guidelines. The best way to assess judges is to speak with attorneys that go to court.

Good.

I see some attack ads against Gillum lately, but still not hard enough. People don’t know how radical he is. Direct quotes needed. In his own words.

Repeated till it sinks in.
