The Minnesota DFL Party on Wednesday asked the Minneapolis Police Department to investigate a domestic abuse claim against U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison, after both a city attorney and a county prosecutor declined to review a report the party commissioned that did not substantiate the allegation.
Charlene Briner, a senior adviser for the party, told the Star Tribune on Wednesday that the DFL sent its investigative report to the Minneapolis Police Department and asked that they investigate the claims described in the report to determine whether any criminal conduct occurred.
The party asked the Lockridge Grindal Nauen law firm in August to probe an allegation by Ellisons former girlfriend, Karen Monahan, that the Democratic candidate for attorney general tried to drag her off a bed during a fight in August. He denies it. Susan Ellingstad, the attorney who wrote the 15-page report, found merit in both parties statements but concluded that the claim could not be substantiated because Monahan refused to provide a video of the incident that Monahan insists exists.

Democratic Football League? Do they kneel also?
If they don’t, they certainly should! He’s a street punk who shouldn’t hold public office anywhere, but had a constituency locked up, literally.
They quashed it before, to find charges now would be to admit they deliberately quashed it before. Just my opinion, not a chance they will bring charges now.
If this looks like the might goes anywhere..Ellison will do a Hillary and run for President.
As we all know if you run for President all your crimes are wiped clean.
Nope, they never wanted him on the ticket and now he is a danger to Senate race.
If it was secure, they wouldn’t care.
“Democrat, Farmer, Labor”, AFAIK
I think its okay as long as Keith used his hands or a rod no bigger than his thumb to beat the b****es.
The same Mpls PD that thought Justine Damond’s killer was a great hire and tried to cover for her Muslim killer is going to give a honest inquiry into a Muslim congressman?
It could happen...
;-)
