A Pentagon spokeswoman says the suspicious substance found in envelopes turned over to the FBI contained the substance from which the poison ricin is derived, but not ricin itself. Dana W. White, the chief Pentagon spokeswoman, told reporters traveling with Defense Secretary Jim Mattis in Brussels that the substance was castor seeds.

Looks like it's pretty damn sensitive.

You know, though I don’t rule out liberals, it wouldn’t surprise me, given that the Navy was targeted - Chinese? Or one of their allies? Dunno.

First guess would be liberals or Mad Mo followers but the Navy thing seems a bit - surprising.

That or a Berkeley snowflake who hasn’t got the foggiest idea about making the poison but barely enough education to know where ricin comes from.

Maybe they can blame an innocent person, badger him into suicide, then get Bob Mueller to whitewash it. Been known to happen.

[Trial Balloon?]

Democrats practicing for just before Mid-Terms? Or Day of Mid-Terms?

Democrats are stoked on fake news and lies. Expect anything.

It was apparently castor beans, but why would it take more than a few minutes to recognize castor beans?

I was thinking of that episode (referenced in the last episode).

I’ve only seen 2, maybe 2.5 episodes from the whole thing.

1) The last episode
2) The one where the guy in the wheelchair meets with the DEA and then Gus(?).

Because they were dried and crushed into a white powder.

Castor beans contain small amounts of ricin, which can be extracted from them. The extract is a white powder.

No, the white powder was harmless and sent to Ted Cruz. The letters to Mattis, Richardson, and Trump contained unprocessed castor beans.
