it will be thermonuclear war by the dims when RBG dies in office...she isn't quitting....no way.

They know this would shift SCOTUS to 6-3 conservative and possibly 7-2 if Breyer kicks off.

If the Democrats take the licking on Nov. 6 that they have richly earned, possibly they might be chastened. Possibly.

Gorsuch just replaced Scalia. No loss for Dems. Brett is worse. But he is not the true “swing vote.” Kavs is too moderate. AMY BARRETT will cause violence by the left, because it would mark the end of Roe v. Wade.

One of the downsides to Trump having provided a list of potential SC nominees is that it gave the Dems a lot of lead time for opposition research.

Maybe, but that was a necessary risk. Trump needed to do that to prove to voters that he was serious about being conservative by naming conservative judges he'd consider for the courts.

Trump might not have won in 2016 if he had not issued that list.

The Kavanaugh confirmation has been an absolute shitshow. The “replacement for Ginsburg” confirmation will make this present madness look tame.
It now looks likely that the Republicans hold the Senate and even gain in November. If that happens (and the House holds as well) it will make some things possible.

But the “gorilla in the room” is “the MSM.” It has been getting away with murder. The “madness” you rightly fear is enabled by the MSM, and would be impossible without it.

You will say, “the MSM is a result of the First Amendment and is immutable.” But as Scalia explained, “the freedom . . . of the press” means something different from “freedom of the press.” That is, laws against libel existed before the First Amendment was ratified, and they were not overturned by 1A. “Freedom of the press” would have been absolute; the freedom of the press” is not.

The MSM can be tamed. It must be tamed.

Trump needed to do that to prove to voters that he was serious about being conservative by naming conservative judges he'd consider for the courts.

Don't disagree with that sentiment, but a new strategy may be needed for the next nominee.

Trump no longer needs to prove he'll choose a conservative, and its now quite clear the left has been looking for dirt on his list of potential nominees since he announced them.

Rather than choose someone the left expects, Trump may need to choose someone not already on their radar to prevent another orchestrated attack.
