Again, as someone that used to investigate these cases, I will not disagree with you.
Severe punishment needs to follow such false claims and I hope that the authorities will dig deep into the no corroboration...

There is a very power sociological argument against this position that is that it’s already very difficult for real victims to come forward, for a variety of reasons, probably the highest of which is shame and and desire to avoid a lot of negative attention, but more importantly to this point is the fear that you will not be taken seriously by authorities and even punished for doing so.
So the problem is, how can you punish false accusers (who make victims out of people just like rapists make victims out of people) and not dissuade reporting of real rape victims?
The balance has obviously gone far toward not scaring and discouraging rape victims, but recent events have flipped the other side of the victim coin into the spotlight and these are real people too with real lives.
Every false allegation hurts real victims.
It is just a form of bullying by women when they try to force society to “believe all women”. When they state “women don’t lie about rape” I just want to hurl. This lie has caused wars. It has put men in jail for most of their lives. These stats basically state that women lie about it EVERY SINGLE DAY.
Women who lie are causing real victims to be a victim again of people not believing them. This needs to be culturally shamed and prosecuted.
Yes. I agree. False allegations are terrible not only to the falsely accused but to the real victims.
I have family members who are victims of rape and it’s a horrible crime. Those committing it should be put in prison.
It’s also terrible to deprive someone of their reputation and freedom over false allegations. Those making false accusations should be treated as criminals as well or be required to get psychological treatment.
You’re also looking at the expansion of what constitutes rape. Two drunk college kids have sex = rape by the man always.
Libs are making everyone VICTIMS. They need victim status to divide the nation and create aggrieved classes of people.

Think what’s changed is men are now MORE likely to be falsely accused because a good percentage of college-aged women are on psych meds and have been taught they are victims from an early age.
You also won’t see a study like this done! Took months delay to a FOI request for the Air Force study to become public.
What journal would publish that rape claims are 41% false? They’d be targeted and attacked.
What professor would write such an article? Their careers would be in jeopardy.
There are no sound sociological arguments against what was proposed as you purport. For victims to be protected, false accusations must be dealt with severely.
Making it safe for real victims to come forward is a completely separate matter from how we treat false accusers. Conflating the two is harmful to all.
Agree, it’s pathetic. To be alive in 2018 in the USA means, by definition, you’re one of the most privileged people to have ever lived. ...yet these morons are DETERMINED to consider themselves victims.
