BREAKING: A verdict as been reached in the trial of Chicago Police Officer Jason Van Dyke, charged with shooting teenager Laquan McDonald. The jury will announce the verdict in about one hour.

My wife and I were in Miami in 1980 when a similar verdict was read.
We were on our motorcycle. We had stopped at a Krystal for lunch, and they had a TV going. It was a black neighborhood and the verdict was read.
I told my wife, We have to get outta here NOW!”...................
