Here’s why the protests against Kavanaugh (and the Trump administration) won’t go away

Now that the highly contentious confirmation process for Supreme Court nominee Brett M. Kavanaugh is winding down, will the resolution dampen the fervor of recent activism? In the past two weeks, protesters have interrupted Senate Judiciary Committee hearings, blocked the streets around the Capitol, sung on the steps of the Supreme Court, occupied a Senate building, and much more — including calling for a national day of action today. In fact, survivors who confronted Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) in a Senate elevator live on CNN may have pushed him to call for an FBI investigation into sexual assault allegations against the nominee before a confirmation vote. Given the protesters’ role in slowing the confirmation process, the outcome is likely to provoke more activism, not less.

Why have the protests against President Trump’s administration persisted with so much strength for so long? My ongoing research project offers some insight. With a multi-person research team, I have surveyed attendees at all the large-scale protest events in Washington since Trump’s inauguration. So far, the complete data set includes surveys collected from 1,946 protest participants.

Although each protest event has been different — with a different main focus and a different coalition of organizations coordinating the event — the research method is the same. My research team and I snake through these crowds sampling every fifth person at designated increments within the staging area to gather a field approximation of a random sample. More women than men have attended all these protests, and protesters have come from a highly educated portion of the U.S. population.

Protests won’t go away because Soros has deep pockets, and millennial snowflakes lack a real day job.

These “highly educated” mobs must be “highly educated” in “education” which is useless.

Rather than do honest work for a living they sell themselves to Rent-a-Mob.

Because the radical left refuses to admit that it is completely wrong. It will not give up its delusion. Put them in a padded cell.

The more these fools protest, the more the American people get to see them, and the more they will be disgusted and vote for the GOP.

Left wing protests are like graffiti. You have to paint over it as soon as it appears. Then again and again until they give up. That might might 2 times, might be 100. The point is, you have to outlast them.

Another example is the spoiled child who runs around the house screaming. Some parents will fight them for hours, then finally give in. Well, they just taught the child that it takes hours of screaming to win.

Didn’t Michael Moore promise to bring in 1 MILLION people to block the Senate from voting? So, where are they?

A more highly educated and far less comprehending portion of the population. An Ivy League degree does not instil or connote common sense or any connection to reality.

They are not protesting against Kavanaugh or Trump. They are protesting America. Kavanaugh and Trump are just the current focal points. It would not matter who was nominated or who the Republican president was. That is irrelevant. They left hates America, period. There actions speak volumes about their true goals.

Are there really any Americans stupid enough not to see that the Jeff Flake/”Survivors” elevator encounter was as staged as a basic cable reality show?

If so I suppose we are getting the government we deserve.

Protests won’t go away because Soros has deep pockets, and millennial snowflakes lack a real day job.

Soros has used his formula to change governments in half a dozen countries now, and they work.

I would say that Obama's election was itself a Soros operation.

You can see the difference in the DNC since Soros has taken control. They've gone from being corrupt in the normal way, and communist-infiltrated in the normal way, to being a round-the-clock weapon being used round-the-clock. Maximum outrage, maximum decibels, and it never stops until the target folds and runs for cover.

Yep. Arrest Soros and freeze his assets, and then let’s see how many rent-a-mobs appearl.

Temper tantrums (and worse) are all that the Rat Party has to offer today. So of course the “investigations” will continue. It seems to me that Judge Kavanaugh and Justice Thomas are likely to form a very strong bond/friendship...for obvious reasons.

ROFL face ROFL face face with tears of joy face with tears of joy face with tears of joy

You survive Auschwitz, Bergen-Belsen or being on the 75th floor of one of the World Trade Center towers on September 11, 2001.

These Front Holes need to shut their pudding holes.

The protesters will either quit or escalate to violence. Arrest them or stop them with force.

Someone attacking with an impact weapon which can cause grevous harm can be resisted with lethal force.
