You only have to do that for a few years and you are all set.

I have no problem with his salary as long as there are like only 10 of him/her working it.

From the title, I thought it was about the mayor.

He had quite the work ethic and all things considered, it’s reasonable.

And his pension will now go up considerably. That is the more sickening part of this fraud here. Municipal unions and democrat politicians have screwed all of their taxpayers.

“these engineers protect public health by ensuring it all flows in the right direction,” said DEP spokesman Ted Timbers, trying to explain the eye-popping figure.”

“ensuring it all flows in the right direction”

I always did have difficulty getting my toilets to flush down.

Years ago I was sent to a NYC home office for insurance training. One of the other trainees (in his 20s) admitted that this was his second choice for a job and he was just biding his time until the other offer materialized. His dream job: New York City garbageman. He said he could make a good living and with overtime put in near the end of the 20 years, have a great retirement in Florida.

The fella probably needs to make that much in order to pay the rent and taxes there.

His normal pay would be over $106/hr or about 212k per year.

So even if he really worked an average of 78 hrs per week, that comes out to about $110/hr plus time and a half.

I know that you can push up hourly wages by working holidays and the sort, but $110 per hour?

An hourly employee making as much as a good full time contracted Engineer?

This union contract needs to go.

That’s over 11 hrs every day of the years. Raise you hand if you believe that. Didn’t think so.

24 hours a day with more than 1 billion gallons of wastewater

What I have always imagined NYC to be: one massive sewage discharging continuously from all the people packed in like sardines.
