Yep, they seem to have figured out how to build houses that will withstand the storms better. Dad’s and Judi’s house was built in ‘97 or ‘98 and seems very solid. It will survive just fine. It’s power going out and the generator not being able to operate for some reason that’s my main concern. That and her being alone with no one to help her out. She really needs someone there 24/7.

Maybe the local EMTs or firemen need to be aware of her disabilities and that she couldn’t evacuate on her own.

But.....I’m sure she has a plan. :)

I’ve got a plan, too. And I think it is to take this tired body to the pillows! I can barely keep my eyes open. LOL! *yawn*

How are YOU doing? It looks like there’s been a bit of wild weather out your way and I hope it hasn’t been rough where you are. Were you and Gizmo able to head out to the lake yesterday?

It hasn’t been too rough here. Just some rain and that’s about it. I did go ahead and cut the grass yesterday. We’ll see how things go today. Our area is under a slight risk for severe t-storms today.

Very observant. Now I am going to have to visit to confirm. Was just there a week ago but not for observing aircraft.

The one I flew for over seven years is parked right next to the B-29.

Best duty station ever.

Won’t argue that point. Some loved it some didn’t.
Might have depended to some extent if you worked
outside during winter.

Silly me! I LET him back in because it was raining buckets and I felt sorry for him. LOL!

But it was all good. He kept me warm. it was kind of chilly in the house. I sure slept better in the cooler room, though!

All is well here. Got home from East Texas yesterday and it was raining all evening here. Loved it!

Actually, I noticed the errant prop when I was there for a visit last year. I’ll go back soon as we live in the Twin Cities so leave a geo cashe for me, eh? ;-)

We liked it, beat MCSC Barstow which was my first, enlisted duty station. Also better than Minot AFB which was my first AF duty station. That was miserably cold, worse for the alert and missile site cops, maintenance guys. Wasn’t too nice traveling to and from the missile LCCs as an officer either.

Ellsworth had cold, snowy days but on the whole was pretty moderate.
