What situation is that old man? The situation in Chicago where the murder rate is so high that we have to give up our freedoms for a little safety?

You know, the crime rates all across the country (including the murder rate in Chicago) are lower now than they were in the '70s when you were a young man running around enjoying the freedoms that better men than you fought and died to protect.

Dear “friggin” MileHi:

Guess you’ve gotten altitude sickness up there in CO or you’ve been toking up too much.

"Stop and Frisk, based on valid, observable actions, does work, and it works well."

Valid, observable actions? Like furtive looks and bulges in pockets? Well, whatever it takes to keep everyone safe. Freedom is a highly overrated relic of a bygone era - you know, back when men valued silly little things like that.

And New York was so much safer back when cops could look up your butt anytime they wanted, right? That would be correct except for the fact that it isn't. Crime rates in New York didn't go up after stop and frisk was done away with - but don't let pesky little things like facts interfere with your jack-booted wet dreams.

Stop and frisk - New York style:
But your friends in blue did have a valid, observable action by the perp so their actions were all justified, right? No wonder the guy was walking with his butt cheeks pinched together - he knew what those freedom loving boys in blue wanted to do to him.

"...Willful ignorance is a thing to behold..."

Are you talking about Rahm Emmanuel and his coddling of known criminals? Is that what your post means?

Absolutely. They tie the hands of law enforcement and the marvel at the results.

Forget the drugs up your butt scenario. Stop and Frisk was designed to take weapons, esp. guns, off the streets, and it does work when well planned and has good training. Every cop I know liked it, esp. those in tactical squads.

My son was a federal police officer and at least twice he and his men physically tackled two insane people who were walking around waving knives at everyone. They had the authority to shoot them because of their special unit status, but decided to three man team them down.

You don’t know who has what on them, esp. in the drug areas of a city. By legally getting illegally owned/carried (i.e. by felons), you help get the hardware and the dangerous criminals off the streets.

Try a ride-along in a city drug area. It can be scary.

It's not just drugs up the butt, Max. It's also weapons being hidden anywhere on and in the body that they can be hidden - and you know, if the cop is going to be safe while he's  doing his job  violating our rights he's going to have to make sure his perp is not packing a piece. So, when he's stopping and searching you, or your wife, or your daughter, or your girlfriend he's going to have to look every where. Just to be safe you know.

Of course you'll have nothing to be upset about when your wife is violated because as a well trained officer of the law your pervert-in-blue will have followed all proper procedures when he stuck his fingers up her vagina.

I don't know about you Max, but if my wife gets stopped and  searched  violated by an officer of the law he will pay the price.

"Every cop I know liked it, esp. those in tactical squads."

I don't really give a damn whether or not your cop buddies like it. We are a free people and we have the right to go about our business in public without being stopped and searched without probable cause. The Fourth Amendment protects this right from statists like you and I am very glad that it does.

You want to know what can really be scary Max? Try pissing off a free-born American male that values his rights and is willing to defend them even if you have to die in the process.
