I had a list of 17 reasons this story was bogus, not ten, like the Hardware security expert being quoted in this article. . . and called it the day it came out. FAKE NEWS FROM BLOOMBERG.

Other hardware security experts are NOW coming out calling Bloomberg's article saying that Chinese subcontractor were placing surreptitious chips on server motherboards for spying on the US just didn't make sense. This article is one of the people Bloomberg talked to in constructing their article and was quoted OUT OF CONTEXT. . . and he told them their theory "just doesn't make sense!" It is good when what I said is validated by other experts in the field. The picture Bloomberg used was BOGUS! —PING!

But it doesn’t make sense because there are so many easier ways to do this. There are so many easier hardware ways, there are software, there are firmware approaches.

I don't know anything about this issue but ignorance has never stopped me from weighing in before. Why would the Chinese take the easiest way to plant spying capability if they wanted it to go undetected? They certainly use those other techniques but why assume they would never do something more complex but better disguised?

The story was written by an amateur.

But anyone who thinks the Chinese haven’t been deep up our rectums on servers, cable modems, and ethernet cards, call me, I have a bridge you can buy real cheap.
