A crime log the school sent out Monday says a non-student was detained for writing on a statue at 1:36 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29 outside Tucker Hall.
University spokeswoman Erin Zagursky said William & Mary Police have identified and spoken to a suspect, but no charges had been sought as of Monday afternoon.

Two hundred years from now these kids will be vandalized by the people living today for being sluts, promiscuous, pedophile protectors, blatant ignorant socialists, moral relativists, orwellian history destroyers, promoting mental illness as genuine lifestyles, etc.
Well well well.
Some of us have been predicting this wouldn’t stop with yankeefa tearing down Confederate statues.
Now it’s open season on ante-bellum American history.
No one touches statues to the pedophile of Harvey Milk.
Or the vicious racist of Malcolm X.
Or the beater of women of MLK.
William and Mary was one of the colleges my father and I visited in the summer of 1964 after finishing my junior year of high school. I had good grades but stellar SAT scores so getting in there and elsewhere was no problem and money wasn’t either. My father and mother loved Colonial Williamsburg and would have relished opportunities to visit. A lot of the students worked as wait staff in the restaurants and they were all attractive, well-spoken and self-assured. I recall the climate was too humid for my tastes and I ended up elsewhere. Years later I figured out that the best school in Williamsburg is nicknamed “The Farm”.
“Slave Owner” should be the first 2 words on every Demonrats headstone or monument.
“Someday there will be a day of reckoning “
November 6, 2018 will be the day it begins!;)
During Monroe’s time it was called the era of good feelings. He almost became the second President to get a uniamous electoral college win. One delegate changed his vote so that George Washington was the only President so honored.
William and Mary won’t do now!
By the way, having seen your posts over the years, I've wondered if you are by chance related to Jeb Stuart's famous artillerist?
You sound like D’Souza.
George Washington had a guest worker program. He was not a Democrat.
Use sound doctrine to oppose Democrats today.
George Washington was not a Democrat.
Why not just skip playing the slavery card altogether, unless you have a purpose in shaming the slave states: New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Delaware, and Maryland.
Virginia, North and South Carolina, and Georgia were slave states too - don't ever forget to cast 4/13ths responsibility in their direction.
In fact, of the 13 original states, 13 of them were slave states.
You are absolutely correct.
My comment was an indictment of the current slave-holders.
No, I just admire him. But my g-grandfather’s eldest brother was present at Fredericksburg when The Gallant Pelham earned his sobriquet for shelling the Union lines with his two cannon.
However the 13th Mississippi were up at the Sunken Road while Pelham was at the far end of the field so I don’t know that Pvt Stroud would have witnessed the show.
And Antifa in Portland rioting against whites in their cars telling them to go back to the south where racists belong
Portland police stand down
Wonder if BroJoe or X are there
Or in Williamsburg
