A carpenter friend of mine has a boss who hails from Boston Southie. The Southie is kind of a rough, brusque character, who somewhat intimidates my pal. I said “You know, if you were a baseball fan you’d understand him better. Boston fans can be the rudest, most vulgar, jerk fans in baseball. They don’t mean anything by it, it’s just how they are.
