Actually, I believe the ship has sailed for what you desire. Civility has gone out the window because Hillary Clinton lost the election in 2016, and the media, which you correctly point out, continues to incite violence, by reporting lies about Trump and Trump supporters. If those on the left, or Democrats, or Democratic Socialists- whatever you’re calling yourselves these days-want to continue to ignore the truths of how the rest of us are grouped together as deplorables by your chosen leaders, then I honestly don’t see a smooth path to bipartisanship, in government or in every day life. Just like everyday Muslims who refuse to call out the “extremists” have enabled a murderous and oppressive climate, especially in the Middle East and Europe now, traditional Democrats don’t seem to be anywhere voicing restraint.
