Likewise, Reagan made a lot of money for people in the entertainment industry when he was the president of the Screen Actors Guild.

President Trump EXPLOSIVE Speech CHANGES the Music Industry FOREVER

You mean they're going to kill "rap" and start making quality music again?

“Modernization”

Does that mean that maybe they are going to bring back melody, beautiful trained voices, intriguing and complex lyrics with uplifting messages? Get rid of vile cop-hating and misogynistic lyrics? Sh!t-can jungle noise banging? Dump the same lousy crap that every person in the music industry duplicates?

Kid Rock looks on at signing.

Beach Boys's Mike Love speaks at signing.

Focuses on updating music copyright law to be current with the streaming era. It also will hopefully mean more royalties for artists and songwriters.

The Music Modernization Act was unanimously passed by both the House and the Senate. The bill, which is officially named the Orrin G. Hatch Music Modernization Act, streamlines the process for music licensing and updates rules about royalties for streaming music.

The goal is to ensure that both artists and songwriters are compensated for this method of listening. It also creates a publicly accessible database to make it easier to discern who should be paid for a particular song.

Explosive?

Doesn’t anyone remember back in 2003 when Orrin Hatch suggested remotely destroying computers that illegally downloaded copyrighted material ?

Mind-blowing, political genius here folks.

Just right after Swift endorsed the Rat in TN, Trump has Ye in the WH and signs this bill. You got entertainers in the WH backing this and Trump. Now how small does Swift and the musicians/entertainers that hate Trump feel? How can the Left call Trump names when he's hanging out with legendary musicians and they're taking in every moment.

This was two stakes driven in into the hearts of the Left. Blacks are watching Ye and thinking that Trump isn't the caricature that CNN and the Left portrays him as. Ditto for the music industry. I bet now most who were afraid to speak out for fear of being denigrated by the Left or were on the fence are going to let their voices be heard.

Persuasion and just never stop backing down.

Brian Wilson should have been there too, or even instead of Mike Love, but maybe his personal politics would not allow for that.
Brian has gone through years of mental illness and periods of recovery. Maybe he wasn’t in the best frame of mind for something like this.

The more stuff Trump touches that the left thinks they OWN, like Black Folks, Music Industry, etc etc....

The more the left will unhinge themselves!

THE BETTER!!

The speech didn’t change anything, musicians have been quite publicly getting jobbed by the industry since the ‘50s. The law might change things a little until the industry figures out how to get around it.

Mike Love said Trump did something to try and “save” Whitney Houston. What was he talking about?

Nadler didn’t show up (for some reason).

There must have been an all you can eat Buffet somewhere between the Capital Building at the White House.

And Samuel David “Hold On I’m Comin’” Moore! Who, in 2008, Moore sent a cease and desist letter to the Barack Obama campaign to stop the use of his material at rallies for Obama’s presidential campaign.

The post signing comments (at the 11:00 minute mark) from all the artists present are terrific, including Love’s reminding America (if not informing them for the first time) that DJT make a concerted effort to help to save Whitney Houston. Congrats to all the artists and studio assistants that have created the most enjoyable music ever.

Modernization... if you want paid, go work. Maybe they should try a few 60 hour work weeks like the rest of America.
