If only.
The Crusaders waged a series of specific goal focused short wars against an enemy that by definition had and still has an open ended global end in view. In a sense the Crusaders couldn’t afford more than they did since Europe was weakened after centuries of unprovoked and frequent Muslim raids and disruption of commerce, agriculture and society.
Interesting. Thanks.
I’ve also witnessed the unholy alliance of liberal secularists with Muslims.
Liberals have a worldview akin to religion. They’ve been in a century long culture war with Judeo-Christian American tradition - and they know it.
They import foreigners as different from the mainstream as possible to weaken it. And they ally with the Muslims to be able to say, “Take down these Christian symbols, stop these traditional things. It isn’t because I hate religion - see, this monotheist Muslim agrees with me!”
