The guy was not a US citizen, so not much our concern. That said, we seriously need to decide if Saudi Arabia is friend or foe, then act accordingly. My vote is that they are a clear foe. We should treat them no differently than Iran and North Korea. I also suggest the same for China and a few others. Stop coddling our enemies!

It’s overly simplistic to say that the Saudis are the enemy. There are factions within the House of Saud, and we’ve always been allied with some while others oppose us. Many of the bad players have been somewhat neutralized; however I don’t know that they were neutralized *permanently* if you know what I mean, in other words they have their own deep state and it is, I suspect, striking back.
Some places are neither friend nor foe... look at Russia, China, etc. The may have "values" quite different from ours, but from time to time we need them for certain things so we maintain whatever relationship we can.
