Vox Calls for Abolishing Supreme Court
Political Insider ^ | October 12, 2018 | Matt

Much like a seven year old trying to change the rules of a game they’re losing – Democrats have now decided that any institution that doesn’t serve their purpose must destroyed. After the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh, the popular liberal publication Vox has now called for the abolition of the Supreme Court entirely.

“…the Court is now a blunt political instrument, used repeatedly to undermine outcomes of democratic governance” the Vox article complains. While I can’t prove it, I imagine there’s a 0% chance Vox would be making the same complaint with a liberal court. The article continues, “…it’s perfectly reasonable to ask if we should abolish the Supreme Court, or at the very least strip the Court of its ability to overturn laws that it rules unconstitutional. If the Court is no longer a neutral arbiter of the law, if it’s gradually shape-shifting into a partisan weapon, then maybe it’s time to rethink its role in our constitutional system.”

Plenty of liberals have echoed such calls to abolish the SCOTUS, none of which existed prior to the nomination and eventual confirmation of Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

It’s noteworthy that Democrats have an immediate inclination to abolish democratic institutions when they don’t get what they want.

It’s time for the Democrat Party to be abolished.

To Hell with these people.

if it’s gradually shape-shifting into a partisan weapon

Did the authors of Vox just step out of a time machine from 1930? Did they miss FDR trying to pack the court? Did they miss a whole series of bad decisions? Wickard v. Filburn? US v. Miller? Roe v. Wade? The Kelo decision?

This should not be ignored, and should be manipulated and turned to abolishing some of the lower courts.

Opportunity!

If the Supreme Court is abolished, are Roe v. Wade and Obergefell v. Howard abolished as well. If so, I’m in.

So on one hand they accuse republicans of “damaging the institutions of government” yet on the other hand they want to abolish said institutions of government.

Very strange especially since for so long the country endured the torture of liberal judges legislating from the bench with hardly a peep from these liberals. Now with the violence & evils that they did stop the confirmation of just 1 man, the liberals world is imploding and from every angle they see calling for the dismantling of all the systems that the Founding Fathers had put in place.

It's the same old communists playbook "whenever they lose, they make a lot of noise and demand to change the rules".

Each time they spout this bilge someone needs to ask them what they want or what alternative they would present. They want to be rid of the Electoral College, they want to abolish the Supreme Court, they don’t want police.

Tell us your form of government liberals so we can study it.

Hmmm.... so these bright lights want to abandon the three-legged stool for the two- or one-legged device.

The three-legged stool is free-standing and self-leveling.

Two- and one-legged stool may work for a short time but require support and will ultimately fall over.

There you have it. Things learned while milking a cow by hand.

Actually, what these bright lights want to do is light the three legged stool aflame, smash it with a sledgehammer while it burns, then build a new and better stool from the charred remains.

This is yet another demonstration of how utterly out-of-touch libs are with reality. To "abolish" the Supreme Court would require a constitutional amendment and will NEVER happen. Plus, the Supreme Court is just another court, albeit the highest in the nation. Unless they ban all the other federal courts, those bodies are free to make decisions that would be just as binding.

Judicial activism was a fine thing when it was trending toward liberal insanity, but now that the door has been slammed shut and a return to normalcy is imminent, the whiners have changed their tune.
