Doesn't everyone know if the MSM says 'up', they should think 'down', etc.?
Legally, he’s not allowed to have Beto on the ballot. So, it may confuse some low-information voters. Should be fun.
The phonier the more appealing to so many.
I’ve been seeing political ads for Beta on YouTube for the first time. He is such an obvious phony. His meaningless, empty platitudes are such a worn out formula that he’s a parody of all that’s wrong with politics.
I would think they'd need the full name, with "Beto" in parentheses inserted after the legal first name as they do in obits. Believe I've seen this before.
I looked at the sample ballot and he is listed as Beto - O’Rourke. Check for yourself - https://webservices.sos.state.tx.us/ballot-cert/report.aspx
Yes indeed. Also notice that Ted is listed as “Ted” so it’s apparently up to the candidate.
No. They are not allowed to have nicknames. That was one of the failings of the election system Mitt Romney faced.
I don’t vote in Texas, but it is my understanding that when Mitt ran, they weren’t allowed there and in several other states, to put his nickname on the ballot. Even in parenthesis.
Well, I’ll be darned. They are just playing political games to ensure a Democrat boost in votes.
