Maybe it’s nothing, but I noticed something odd in that attack ad. The person shown in the ad is wearing a Navy cap, but the cap uses spells out “NAVY” using a serif font. I’ve never seen the word “NAVY” written in anything other than a sans-serif font.
Who is Tulsi?
I am not sure I understand. It looks like a leftist hit to me. From what I know of Rick Scott, he is a squishy Republican to the point of being liberal, but are they attacking him for wearing a Navy hat, or because he is wearing a Navy hat after having attacked veterans programs or the military itself?
From what I see, he was in the Navy. He wears a Navy hat. I hope there is nothing wrong with that, because I have worn a Navy related hat for years, having served for four years and grown up in a career Navy family.
Those four years I served is the most important and formative phase of my life, those four years in the USN. Far more than my college years, and not even close.
I take great pride in having served, and I wear my ship/squadron hat for three main reasons:
1.) I wear my hat because I am proud of serving. It was hard for me, but I learned a lot about myself and life that serves me to this day
2.) I wear it to show my gratitude to my country. I am grateful to my country for allowing me to serve. It gave me vital instruction and direction at a time in my life, and provided me with human capital, and all I had to do was serve and do my job.
3.) I wear it to engage people with military connections, either direct or associated. I spent 19 of the first 21 years of my life as either a military dependent or active duty military, so I identify with many military people. I wear my hat, and I engage military people (both veterans and active duty) everywhere I see them, to thank them for serving, and to hear their stories. They all have stories that resonate with me, I identify with them. I know what it is like to grow up in a military environment, moving all the time, living on bases, all the associated culture. So when I hear them tell their stories, even if they only served for a short time, or even if they were family of a military person. How they got trained. Where they served. How they met their spouses. What they did when they served.
So, I hope the guy isn’t being raked over the coals for just wearing a Navy hat. I don’t see a problem with that.

While I was involved in Naval Aviation, I do occasionally wear a Seabees hat, for three reasons:
First, I simply love their motto: “Can Do!” Love it. In my professional, non-military life, that is my personal motto, no matter the job, no matter whether it is directly part of my job or not, if my boss asks me to do something, I say “Can Do!” and get to work.
Second, I admire Seabees. When I was a kid, on the first big base we moved to overseas, they had a Seabee statue (the one with the Sea-bee) holding all the tools in each of its six legs and a dixie cup on its head...it was probably 15-20 foot high, but maybe less because I was little) and our house was right next to the Seabee Barracks, and we got our dog as a puppy from PO Barker, a Seabee there who had a stray puppy he found. So, I have a soft spot for them!
Third, I bought it from the Seabee Museum in Rhode Island to support their museum...which is a good reason!
Point is, I don’t represent myself as a Seabee, and go out of the way to make it evident I did not serve in that rating. I don’t see it the same as wearing a SEAL hat or anything like that...
Thanks for the link. I watched the video, and it does tie his wearing of the hat to his treatment of certain veteran associated programs as the CEO of a healthcare company.
I don’t know about the details of that. If he did defraud people that should be a crime regardless of his veteran status. They are trying to paint him as a hypocrite, which is standard leftist fare.
Any Floridians have more input on this issue?
last time I bothered to check, a military person, active or no, may wear one item of military attire when out of uniform (such as a unit cap, or even a belt or shoes.) Has that policy changed?

Personally I think she has the best shot at taking on Trump in 2020. I would go with a ticket of Gabbard and Henry Cuellar in 2020.
Nothing came of it! A fine, if I remember. And, that’s it! Gov. Scott is a good man! If, and that’s a big IF, you live in Florida, you’d know that!
That was why I was asking...it is so abstracted between reality and what you see in the Media...

I am always suspicious of these types of claims from ANYONE on the Left.
I work in healthcare, and they think nothing of sabotaging health care, even to the point of hurting patients, to accomplish their leftist goals.
Case in point, the SEIU was trying to unionize a regional hospital where I live, and the head of SEIU (may have been Andy Stern) said something to the effect of “We well destroy their reputation and drive a wedge between their patients and doctors unless they agree to unionize”
They then got a billboard truck and parked it out in front of the main entrance across the street accusing them of Medicare Fraud (it was no such thing) so...when I see things like this, I am suspicious.
What’s my problem w/ Tulsi ? She’s my Congresswoman . And.... she’s totally in bed with those Vote Vets assholes. Don’t let her uniform fool you . She is a Sandersista . Many times I have invited her to become a Republican . Never a word of reply. F her....
