An aid worker with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has been killed in Nigeria by Islamist militants who kidnapped her last March.
Hauwa Liman, a midwife, was killed days after kidnappers set a deadline.
The ICRC said it was devastated by the news. The Nigerian government called the murder "inhuman and ungodly".
Ms Liman was taken with two others in the northern Nigerian town of Rann. Fellow midwife Saifura Ahmed Khorsa was killed last month.
A 15-year-old schoolgirl, Leah Sharibu, is being held by the same militant group, Islamic State West Africa Province (Iswap), which is affiliated to the Islamic State group and is a faction of the Nigerian Islamist group Boko Haram.

The government of Nigeria needs to hunt every last one of these monsters down. They are not fit to live with the rest of humanity.
The international community should put a bounty on every single one of these animals. Hunt them down, dead, not alive.
Get the hell out !
Every time I read a story about these guys I think Whiter shade of pale.
Any successful role by US forces in Africa to destroy Boko Harem, Al Qaeda and its affiliates, would be a tremendous propaganda victory for the West against Islamic extremists.
Our special ops guys are gutsy and tough, and not quitters. We must support their efforts because if BH or AG seize Mali, parts of Cameroons, Chad, etc., they will rebuild their African continental organization and bring perpetual war against Christians and moderate Moslems all over the continent.
US planes killed a reported 100 member so the AQ affiliate, Al Shahab in Somalia this week. That is one shitload of terrorists to kill at one time and will put a big dent into that area’s local organization.
As Stevie Tyler would sing, “Drone On”.
Yeah. They skipped the light fandango and go straight to the beheadings.
No such thing as a “Moderate Mohammadan.” That’s leftist propaganda.
