Five years ago, the trial and conviction of abortionist and serial killer Dr. Kermit Gosnell exposed the appalling cynicism of the mainstream media. They made fools of themselves in their clumsy, unified efforts to stifle the story rather than report on it.

I plan to see the movie this weekend. Thanks for posting this.
I actually did a short review of the film a day after I watched it.
Saw it. The movie itself may not have any actual gruesome scenes, but your description provided some of that mentally. I’m not sure whether I should say “thanks” or not, but I understand that you apparently got those same mental pictures while watching it. The movie would definitely not leave the kind of impressions it intends to leave if it had the visuals.
I barely remember hearing about this in the news and I’m not surprised because of the “media black-out” as is mentioned.
Horrific, for sure. I’m also wondering if it will stay in the theaters for long.
There's a complete and explicit media blackout by NPR, i.e. our taxpayer-funded public radio.
Finally saw the movie . It was a quite masterpiece about the banality of evil. Even the lack of reviews only adds to the strength of that message. As a side note there was a Black detective in the movie whose face keep on tugging at my memory. I finally figured out who he was: AlfonZo Rachel. He use to do commentary for PJTV under the name ZoNation. He provided Very good conservative commentary there.
