RUSH: The Reuters headline: "White House Plans Community-Based Prevention of Violent Ideologies." What are violent ideologies and who gets to determine that? Who gets to define what is a violent ideology? "A new White House plan aims to convene teachers and mental health professionals to intervene and help prevent Americans from turning to violent ideologies, work that is currently mostly done by law enforcement, a draft of the policy seen by Reuters shows. "The 18-page plan, to be announced on Wednesday, marks the first time in five years that the Obama administration has updated its policy for preventing the spread of violent groups." What they're talking about here is conservatism, folks. "Authorities blamed radical and violent ideologies as the motives for attacks in the last year in Charleston, South Carolina; San Bernardino, California; Orlando, Florida; New York and New Jersey." Note that both Republicans and Democrats in Congress have questioned Department of Homeland Security officials over the delay in updating the department's approach to countering recruitment strategies by Islamic State, which controls parts of Iraq and Syria, and other groups.

"Under the new guidelines, 'local intervention teams' made up of mental health professionals, faith-based groups, educators and community leaders will assess the needs of individuals who may be showing signs of converting to a violent ideology."

We know that the Department of Homeland Security in Obama's first term released internal documents warning of the dangers posed by violent right-wing groups. The left runs everything in Washington no matter who the president is, and this work will continue. There's no question that an ongoing effort to stamp out or intimidate anybody who happens to lean in any direction to the right is going to be undertaken, and I just wanted to mention this here at the top while everybody's attention is focused. Anyone that “complains about bias,” that “believes in government conspiracies, that “is frustrated with mainstream ideologies,” that “visits extremist websites/blogs,” that “establishes website/blog to display extremist views," that “attends rallies for extremist causes,” that “exhibits extreme religious intolerance," that is personally connected with a grievance,” that “suddenly acquires weapons,” that “organizes protests inspired by extremist ideology”

“Militia or unorganized militia,” “General right-wing extremist,” Citizens that have “bumper stickers” that are patriotic or anti-U.N., those that refer to an “Army of God,” that are “fiercely nationalistic (as opposed to universal and international in orientation),” that are “anti-global,” that are “suspicious of centralized federal authority,” that “revere individual liberty,” that “believe in conspiracy theories”

Those that have “a belief that one’s personal and/or national ‘way of life’ is under attack,” that possess “a belief in the need to be prepared for an attack either by participating in paramilitary preparations and training or survivalism,” that would “impose strict religious tenets or laws on society (fundamentalists)” that would “insert religion into the political sphere,” that would “seek to politicize religion,” that have “supported political movements for autonomy.”

Anyone that is “anti-abortion.”

Extremists include “Returning veterans,” those concerned about “illegal immigration,” those that “believe in the right to bear arms,” anyone that is engaged in “ammunition stockpiling”

Anyone that exhibits “fear of Communist regimes” “Anti-abortion activists" those against illegal immigration, those that talk about “the New World Order” in a “derogatory” manner

Those that have a negative view of the United Nations, that are opposed “to the collection of federal income taxes,” that supported former presidential candidates Ron Paul, Chuck Baldwin and Bob Barr, that display the Gadsden Flag (“Don’t Tread On Me”)

Those that believe in “end times” prophecies, including Evangelical Christians.

That is why alarm bells should go off whenever Barack Obama (or his Democrat minions) speaks of the need to crack down on “extremism”.

To elitists such as Barack Obama, the word “extremist” has a much broader meaning. In recent years, it has become a code word for those that do not have an “enlightened” view of the world. If your views on politics, religion or social issues are extremely different from the liberal, progressive views of “the mainstream” (as defined by the mainstream media and by “mainstream” politicians such as Barack Obama), then they consider you to be an extremist.
