Congress should really have a policy of impeaching inferior court judges who are overturned on appeal. The shenanigans would cease if judges paid a price for their activism.
“A guy in New Hampshire was imprisoned for deliberately obscuring the words “Live Free Or Die” which have been featured on the state’s license”

I could actually see some basis for not allowing that, but not to punish the guy the way they did.A 50-100 $ fine would have been more than enough.
I believe obscuring/defacing/covering your plates in general is a no-no, since LE needs to be able to make a car. While I expect they would still have been able to see the guy’s license plate number, it’s kind of a case of where you draw the line.
Minnesota has been the most liberal state in the Midwest for a very long time. Save for Eisenhower and Nixon, it has been solidly Democrat since 1932 in Presidential elections. Granted, the liberalism of the Farmer Labor Party and such politicians as Hubert Humphrey, Eugene McCarthy, and Walter Mondale was more economic and civil rights oriented. However, as with states like New York and Massachusetts, both Democrat dominated since 1932, old school liberalism has morphed into advocacy of sexual perversion and moral degeneracy.
Displaying or defacing a message on a license plate is free speech.
Serving at public at large isnt. You arent allowed to discriminate on proscribed grounds.
Unfortunately, Christian businesses dont get a religious objection ground to discriminate.
This has to be satire.
You raised two different topics there -
“Displaying or defacing a message on a license plate is free speech.”
Depend on which side of the bed any given judge has gotten out of that particular morn. Since it’s government issued, I wouldn’t alter one.

Again, depends on the judge. Otherwise, the courts would be clogged with caravans of proprietors defending their “No shirt - No shoes - No service” policies.
Does not the 1st Amendment trump the official scumbags of Minnesota?

An artwork is a very personal statement. Hollywood directors and producers make films for the public. Are you saying the government should be able to force them to make a movie with the opposite point of view? That is incredible government overreach. Making a film is not the same as running a restaurant.
Minnesota, rapidly becoming one of the most Marxist, godless, and lawless states in America, and proud of it, as well as Somali Jihad Central.
The spirit of antichrist controls these people.
For every traditional love story you write for Harlequin, you now must write the same length gay porn novel.
Why do I get the idea that the end game of these people is to declare male + female marriage perverted and illegal?
[The Lefts unrelenting quest to destroy Christianity, one step at a time.]
I’m sure the fools pushing for this profess themselves to be wise at the same time.
So does a Muslim who photographs Muslim weddings have photograph Jewish weddings also?
Doubtful, the activists are pushing the homosexual angle, not the religious one.
So a Muslim is required to film gay weddings also?
What judge is going to enforce that? (and keep his head)
IMO, this couple should shelve the wedding movies business for a while. Make a movie about State Fascism in Minnesota, instead.
Using your logic a professional Democrat speechwriter could be compelled to write a speech for Trump.
A professional costumer could be compelled to design fetish gear.
A Jewish bakery could be compelled to make Hitler birthday cakes.
A makeup artist could be compelled to do feminine makeup on a man.
Etc.
Preposterous. Our first amendment means nothing in your view. Take these thing to their logical conclusion.
