Rollin' in the Dough: Here's How Much Money President Trump Has Raised for 2020

President Donald Trump is off to a great start with fundraising for 2020. According to CNN, Trump has raised over $100 million. From the July to September fundraising quarter alone, the president brought in $18 million.

Trump's war chest sits at over $106 million, giving him a financial advantage over a potentially crowded field of Democratic challengers.

Although the campaign has millions in the bank, they have also spent $7.7 million over the last three months. $1.5 million alone went to legal expenses while $1.6 million was spent on advertising, NBC News reported.

The president has been a steady connection with the average American. Interestingly enough, campaign officials 98 percent of Trump's third quarter donations total $200 or less, signaling his popularity amongst the common, working class American.

The campaign attributes Trump's popularity to his results-driven agenda and a booming economy that has significantly helped the majority of Americans.

"After twenty months in office with unparalleled results for peace and prosperity in America, President Trump has provided the results he promised," Lara Trump, Trump's daughter-in-law and a senior campaign adviser, said in a statement. "And grassroots America has responded to these remarkable results and the booming Trump economy with their generous support of our campaign."

President Trump began raising funds for his reelection efforts just months into his presidency, unlike President Barack Obama who waited until his third year. The efforts Trump has made are unprecedented.

"If the Trump campaign and RNC keep doing what they're doing, they're going to amass a huge fundraising and grassroots network. By the time the conventions come around, they're going to be rolling down the campaign trail with a well-oiled, fully-weaponized battle station," GOP strategist Scott Jennings, who advised Mitt Romney's 2012 presidential campaign, told the Chicago Tribune.

“Trump has raised over $100 million.”

Wow! That’s fantastic. Proud to say $10.00 of that is mine, LOL!

President Trump is like a tornado attending rallies and doing so much other work. That would require exceptional toughness at his age.

The least that we can do is to get our neighbors out to vote Republican. ...and tell people in other Internet forums to do the same (especially in tossup districts in blue states).

Vote like our lives depend on it.

unfortunately the way party politics works—Mike Pence is the designated heir when trump leaves.

pence is a solid conservative but not very charismatic and not very appealing outside the conservative base.

You don’t have to worry about that.

Governor Rick Scott of Florida (soon to be US Senator), who Trump highly praised in his tweet the other day may very well be that kind of leader for 2024.

In any case, Trump has We the People’s back.

If only it was possible to make a political contribution without opening the floodgates of spam phone calls, spam email, and spam snail mail.
