So sad. My Grandmother had this horrible disease.

My great aunt had it (whether Alz or something else I don’t know). I hadn’t seen her for a long time cause she moved to Florida but her daughter brought her to town to attend one more family party (summer of 09’). I was real excited to see her, and she barely remembered me and was unable to have a conversation, that was crushingly sad. She was like a 2nd grandma to me and my brothers (before she got grandkids of her own and moved to Florida), who sadly could not attend and didn’t get to see her. That party was also the last time I saw my grandma outside of a hospital bed.

Dementia is a terrible fate, for the sufferer and their family. Prayers for Justice O’Connor. She’s no one’s favorite obviously but I’d not wish such hell on her.
