The Dan Bogino podcast is fantastic!

I really enjoy Bongino’s daily hour show too.

Good description, IMO. He lost me when he started mocking and deriding Rush. Had there not been a Rush Limbaugh, there almost certainly would not have been a Michael Savage, and Rush has certainly been more consequential than Doctor Savage. Savage is a smart cookie, though, I will give him that.

I have been listening to Savage for years but find it difficult to listen to him anymore. He lashes out at everyone and then complains when they shut him out.

He has been attacking Trump this year, primarily because Trump is too busy to come on his show. His ratings have been tanking as he gets more negative.

I like Savage but rarely listen for lack of time. Given his age and NYC lineage, his accounts of his youth hit me as hilarious and true!

He’s an insufferable prick endlessly pimping his books, denigrating decent people, rude to callers, abrasive, abusive, insulting, boastful, pompous etc. He’s still an obnoxious New Yorker at heart..the kind that ruined California where he resides. Still in all, he is generally on the right side of issues and can be amusing so yes I frequently listen to him...until I can’t take it anymore.

He was pretty good sometimes, but insufferable when he would talk about himself or other talk show people.

While he would constantly bad mouth his fellow talk show hosts, I think it was to try and get a response from them and he was frustrated that they never took the bait and ignored him.

I remember when he was put in the 3 - 5 time slot here in S.E. Michigan on WJR to replace Sean Hannity when WJR "dropped" Sean in favor of Savage.

That wasn't the case at all, Hannity switched parent companies. Savage bragged that he had more followers than Sean's new station 1400 AM. He failed to mention that not only was Sean on the Patriot's 1400 station but also on the FM 101.5 in a 3 - 6 time slot which was an hour more than when he was on WJR.

Savage has since been bumped out of WJR's 3 - 5 slot in favor of a local television news guy who switched to radio. I think Savage is still on WJR but for only one hour, 11:00 p.m. to midnight......LOL!

What an excellent bio of Michael Savage, Lee!

He’s an incredible intellect with a wide expertise across subjects like history, medicines, nutrition.

I also love his personal stories. We also need people who are on the cutting edge of MAGA. No one speaks out like Savage against abortion, San Francisco decay, and pornography.

I think he criticizes Trump sometimes merely to “prove” he’s not a lapdog. I continue to listen to him from time to time. My favorite these days is Scott Adams podcasts.

In his timeframe, I switch back and forth from Savage to Hannity. I love the phrase, “psychological nudity”.

I personally lost flavor of The Savage radio program, when he started going off on people being diagnosed with Autism. Then he segued into meatballs! That was several years ago.

I’ve always been a big fan of the Savage nation. Nobody quite encapsulates the raw anger millions of people feel about what liberalism has done to the world. He might not be as ‘pure’ as some would like it (very few are), but he is unquestionably a solid conservative overall. I appreciate his expressions of his anger, because I feel the same and his voice projects my own.

I love that side of him, like anything else I love it when we are singing from same hymn sheet, but unfortunately Savage is a victim of his own deeply flawed personality and there are times I loathe him - regardless, I listen at any time.

He is a very petty, self absorbed man that clearly feels he should have more acclaim than he has. His arrogance, chiding of his rivals and ridiculous criticisms of Trump more recently (purely out of jealousy) have been frustrating.

It seems his radio career is heading towards the end of its shelf life. The show is due to cut down to an hour as of next year (with a separate hour pod cast) meaning he will likely lose most of his current stations. He already alluded to the fact he’ll be off in his biggest market NYC next year.

But I still respect and admire his incredible intellect, his undeniable success (in many fields) and his largely conservative platform built upon for me the incredibly thought out and logical mantra of borders, language and culture.

I will actively still listen to him whether 10 hours of just 1 or two.

I listen from 3-5pm on the local WSBA, after Rush.

Savage is a good listen. It does get tiresome to hear his constant self praising and bashing of Rush & Hannity.

I personally think the guy is a troubled soul, who has occasional flashes of brilliance.

This is pretty much how I see him.

I don’t agree with everything he says, but I like Savage specifically for his ANGER. At times, he can be the mouthpiece for millions of pissed off Americans (me being one of them).

Yep and I agree he’s self inflicted all his wounds.
For whatever reason he torpedoed his TV show
Criticized autism (I have a low functioning
autistic son and there’s nothing imaginary or
anything overstated about his terrible condition)
and now whines about Trump.

His ongoing criticism of Romney when we were faced with the
alternative of the execrable 0 was awful as well.

For all his snappy one liners like “Red diaper doper babies”
“Any twosome Newsom” he nebbishly qualifies his own statements
“What do I know It’s just one man’s opinion” and ruins segments
that start off with pop music that has pleasant and nostalgic memories
for Boomers then screams turn it off, I can’t take it.
Seemingly unwilling to escalate the aftermath of his public attack
as well which is curious.
Accelerating to the margins of talk radio by his own direction, a field
day for headshrinkers methinks.

I can take him, Levin and Hannity in small doses. Rush I can listen too for the entire show, the other three I just can’t do it.

Savage seems to contradict himself at times. Levin starts with good commentary and breaks into screams. Hannity, oh Lord, sometimes I yell at the radio and tv for God’s sake will you stifle yourself and same old talking points for one minute and let your guest talk, at times they have significant insight and points to make.
