Over 90 percent of the plastic in the oceans comes from ten rivers in Africa and Asia. But the EU decides to ban something that is basically a non-problem. Typical libs.

Just think how much fresh soapy water will be used and discarged as a result

The majority of ocean plastics comes from only a few rivers in Asia and Africa. Just stop exporting plastic to those countries.

It is about LOOKING good, not DOING good.
The beauty of virtue signaling is you don’t have to accomplish anything.
Like the Paris treaty.

Not to mention all the stuff hospitals and clinics use every day: plastic bandages, syringes, petri dishes, test strips for diabetics, etc.

Electric kettles, hair dryers, vacuums. Nobody said a peep. Link tax, meme ban, nary a wimper.
The EU can continue on its road to Hades with my blessing.

I'm not an eviro-weanie but I could definitely support the reduction in plastic that is used for blister wrap packaging all the stuff in the stores. I know that it's a deterrent to shop lifting, but I think its more than a bit excessive

How about stop dumping garbage in the ocean?
Look at all the plastic in that room.

Telling Africans or Asians to clean up their mess is racist
To: Oldeconomybuyer
That’s all well and good I guess but the vast majority of the plastic ocean pollution is from Asia where they use their rivers as the dump and throw everything in it where it ends up in the ocean.
Unless the UK currently puts their plastic in the ocean; this will do nothing to lessen plastic ocean pollution.
