To me , Judaism is not that well an organized religion, because it has been around for so long and drifted through the centuries into 4 branches today.(Reform-Orthodox-Conservative-Reconstructionist)
So having fundamental disagreements among so-called Jews is to be expected.

Branches of Judaism in America tend to each have their own political culture.
The Orthodox tend to be the most politically conservative and the Reform the most liberal. I knew a Conservative rabbi once who really parsed the hot-button issues:
“I’m for gun control, but...we each have a right to self defense. If that requires owning a gun, fine.”
“I’m pro-choice, but...abortions should be carried out only out of necessity. Judaism teaches that life is precious.”
“I’m for gay rights, but...the Torah is clear about the nature of homosexuality and how it goes against G-d’s will.”
It will be interesting to see if Jewish Trump-supporters are actually put out of synagogue anywhere. There is however the prevailing saying, “You can be liberal without being Jewish, but you can’t be Jewish without being liberal”.
I don’t go to synagogues comprised mostly of SJW’s. That has resulted in me going Orthodox & Chabad even though I am not that observant (which they are).
They deliberately use “complicit” in a way contrary to its meaning. They know it. They are the masters of the English language. There is no excuse.
