We haven’t begun to impose the financial pain that it will take to stop this caravan and prod Mexico into doing something. Strong financial penalties and sanctions can probably do a lot to turn them around and force Mexico to cooperate with us instead of them.
So far neither the caravan or Mexico is getting the message. We need to keep turning up the heat until they reverse course.
We should fill fire suppression planes with water and just dump it on the columns as they approach. A harmless deterrent that shouldn’t cost too much to perform and it’s just water. A few drenchings with more planes in the sky and they’ll figure out that they’re not welcome.
