And the military will just watch them put their foot on our ground and permanent status will be granted as usual. This is war and these political ars holes are ignorant. While I can certainly understand your cynicism, some of us are going to wait to see what our commander and chief does with this invasion, hoping and praying for Law and Order to prevail. After all he hasn’t been too much of a disappointment to this point!

Mexico offered these These individuals asylum, and they refused. By international law that makes them inelligible to demand such status from the United States - and we no longer have any obligation to grant such.

Moreover, the President has full constitutional authority to refuse entry to any individual or group he deems a threat to Americans or U.S. interests.

More pointedly still, the SCOTUS has already ruled on the issue of the president’s constitutional authority to enforce such a ban, regardless of whether these invaders step foot on U.S. soil.

The bottom line is that THESE INVADERS WILL NOT GET ASYLUM status, or any other “legal” status - whether or not they cross the border onto U.S. sovereign ground.
