If he wants to ignore modern history, there are more than enough heroic Jews in the OT, for him to have used for inspiration and comfort.

I’m going to cut him some slack too. He’s got a lot on his plate and getting himself entangled in a big political thing right now is not what he needs. Simpler just to keep some distance from Trump. I guarantee the president understands his situation. I will add that I thought it was pretty gutsy of the rabbi to use a somewhat critical tone towards the emails.

This is a good story. He said he’d meet Trump (showing that it is reasonable to do so), and now has backed out, because as he tells us, the LEFT sent him hate-filled e-mails, and he’s just tired of the hate.
Not that the media will really focus on that.
The guy just had 11 of his parishioners murdered by an anti-Trump crazy person.

Then again, I’m not going to my city’s memorial service for the 11 dead and the 6 wounded. It isn’t that I don’t care (I do - I cannot imagine the pain of losing even a 97-year-old relative or friend to a heinous murder like this), it is that I won’t sit there listening to all of the Leftist pablum, and doing meaningless virtue-signalling crap like wearing a ribbon, lighting a candle, holding hands or whatever. The fact that it is taking place in an anti-gun Reform synagogue where I won’t be allowed to legally carry is just more gasoline on this fire.
I have HAD IT with these Leftist Jews! Cannot stand them, and I enjoy every opportunity to tweak their noses over political matters, even something as small as letting them know that I think that they are unthinking morons because they are just engaged in group think.
Oh, and this rabbi is definitely one of them. He deserves a bit of respect for being a rabbi, but none whatsoever for his personal views or his disrespect of the President of the United States (especially in light of Trump’s strong condemnation of anti-Semitism - isn’t that what Jews WANT, someone in power who condemns our enemies?). Again, he’s a PUTZ!
