Wow. Daniel is brave to speak out with the truth. It is very complicated to me. I admire him.
What he writes above rings true.
Of course the Mooselip Brotherhood loves Jews.
The center-left has a huge blind spot on their left flank when it comes to antisemitism. Louis Farrakhan seated in the same row and 2 seats away from President Clinton at Aretha Frankin’s funeral? Linda Sarsour saying it is immoral to “humanize” Israelis? If they are not human subject to same human emotions responding to literally an entire life of terror inflicted upon them then what are they? And I would be the first to say there is plenty of room for criticism of Israel without animus towards Jews just as you can criticize the policies of every government. But for too many they can rarely contain conflating Jewish Americans with Israel and Israeli policies. Every single Israeli has spent their entire lives knowing the threat of attacks - from armed invasion to blown up buses and cafes and even massacres at the olympics. Criticize Israeli policy all day long, but you’re not reasonable if you don’t recognize that their views on the conflict are 100% human and very personal.
There is virulent antisemitism on the far left they just refuse to acknowledge it.
Funny how the media was quick to blame Trump, who has a Jewish daughter and Jewish grandchidren, for the attack in Pittsburgh but no mention of Farrakhan referring to Jews as “termites” that were played on the news about a week prior for riling this psycho up? I don’t blame anyone but the psychopath himself but if you are going to blame speeches played on TV or posted to Twitter then it would seem Farrakhan and Sarsour should be on the list of instigators. Of course, that doesn’t play into their “hate Trump, blame Trump” narrative and their hypocrisy knows no bounds.
