MARK MEADOWS ASKS FISA COURT JUDGE TO INVESTIGATE FBI APPLICATIONS TO SPY ON TRUMP AIDE

North Carolina Rep. Mark Meadows, one of the top Republicans in Congress, wants the lead judge on the secret surveillance court to investigate whether the FBI abused the process to obtain FISA warrants against Carter Page.

Meadows wants to know whether the FISA process was “weaponized for political means.”

Republicans claim that the FBI misled the FISA court by relying heavily on the unverified Steele dossier to mount a case against Page.

The chairman of the House Freedom Caucus is asking a federal judge to investigate whether the process of granting secret surveillance warrants against American citizens was “weaponized for political means” against the Trump campaign.

“As the Presiding Judge of the [Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC)], you are privy to information which could potentially verify or contradict our understanding of abuses of the [Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA)] process,” North Carolina Rep. Mark Meadows wrote in a letter Monday to Judge Rosemary Collyer. “Ultimately, to protect the integrity of the process, we believe such an investigation is necessary.”

“We write to encourage you to investigate the possibility FISA has recently been weaponized for political means,” added Meadows, a Republican member of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.

Meadows is one of a handful of lawmakers on a congressional task force investigating the FBI and Department of Justice’s investigation into possible collusion between President Donald Trump’s campaign and the Russian government.

Republicans on the task force have focused heavily on the FBI’s applications for four FISA warrants against former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.

Isn’t this something you’d think would have been asked at least 6 months ago?

Ask Chief Judge John Roberts, he is ultimately responsible.

He’s also one of the handful of lawmakers who’s worth a damn.

It's not as if the Federal Judges that comprise the FISC don't watch the news and weren't aware of the controversy surrounding the warrant applications for Carter Page.

You'd think they would have done some investigating without having to be asked.

There seem to be a plurality of Republicans who just want it all to go away.

I firmly believe that the Obama NSA spy operation went beyond the Trump campaign and likely included the SCOTUS judges and they got something on Roberts and why the Obama-Care vote went down the way it did.

Shouldn’t have to ask. The fact that the FISC has apparently done nothing tends to make one think they’re complicit in this miscarriage of justice.

What? And get the FISA Court judge to admit to personal culpability in this matter?

Now THERE would be an example of collusion, which was conducted to deliver an inherently unlawful issuance of a warrant.

But Robert Swan Mueller III could not be troubled to even glance in that direction. Willful ignorance is so much worse than simple incompetence.

******************

Yep, the “immediate declassification” wasn’t as immediate as it sounded. Trump ordered it, backed off under pressure from Rosenstein and our “allies”, and then pushed them off to Horowitz who promptly buried them.

Whatever happened to transparency? It is vitally important for the American people to see who attempted to subvert a duly elected president and exactly how they did it. One would think that Trump would be the first one to want these docs to be public. But it doesn’t look like we’re going to see them anytime soon.

Very disappointing.

If you haven't seen enough to believe that the RATS like Rosenstein and Comey politicized the FBI/DOJ including the FISA process then:

1. You are ignorant because you don't watch real news

OR

2. You're an idiot

The other side breaks the HATCH act everyday, yet we are told TRUMP can’t release the unredacted or even the redacted 15 - 30 pages of the findings and memos and the other FBI info that fully disclosed everything so close to the election or even weeks ago because the TRUTH before the elections would have somehow broken the HATCH act or adversely affect a Grand Jury proceeding? REALLY? I say BULL SH*T!

What the hell is really going on?

These are the docs that would;d wave merely insured that the red wave would be there in Nov! If we don’t take both the Sen and the House it is because of this and nothing else! someone got something wrong here or we have been duped again!!!!!!!!!!!

Fishy at the least 4-D chest...hardly! I AM A TRUMP SUPPORTER 100% BUT...does he have this right? And now the Drudge leak today?????

WE F*CKING WANT THE FACTS AND KNOW THE TRUTH YESTERDAY! The citizens of the United States of America demand it yesterday!

We witnessed a crime against our country and the presidency like we did when Kennedy was assassinated and the media stood by then and protected the same ass-wipes who did that and by God we aren’t going top let the second attempt go un-punished are we?
