DCCC raises more than $100 million online for midterms
The Hill ^ | 10/31/18 | Megan Keller

Posted on 10/31/2018 1:45:07 PM PDT by yesthatjallen

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee said its online fundraising for the 2018 election cycle surpassed $100 million on Tuesday.

"The DCCC made the early and aggressive investments necessary to build a top-tier online fundraising operation, and it’s paid off massively," DCCC Chief Digital Officer Julia Ager told The Hill in a statement.

"The outpouring of support from grass-roots donors has allowed us to invest in over 80 races, fund an unprecedented $30 million base engagement and turnout campaign, and hold Republicans accountable every step of the way."

Politico first reported the news earlier on Wednesday.

In 2016, the DCCC had raised $67 million at this point in the campaign cycle, according to Politico, which noted that the digital fundraising by the House Democrats' campaign arm so far this year is about 40 percent of the $250 million raised.

The DCCC invested in digital operations when online donations were just getting off the ground and has refined its digital drive over time, Politico also reported.

Democrats have been out-raising Republicans significantly in the 2018 midterm elections.

FiveThirtyEight currently gives Democrats a 6 in 7 chance of gaining a majority in the House.

What is motivating them to donate so much money?

I guess we can see why the far left bastards don’t want to pay their medical bills and college tuition. They need their money to get commie piggies elected.

First I don’t believe this; next I have worked in war rooms and learned that there really is just so much money that can be constructively spent finally, money gets the mic but if you are not singing a song the crowd wants to hear it means nothing. Ask former presidents Perot and Forbes about that.

I wonder what the reporting rules are on this money.
IIRC Obama had a huge total of ‘small’ donations from unknown donors.

Even $1000 Million can’t buy Beto or the Georgia Welfare Queen a seat.

Because they know that their time is limited? Because they know if Trump seats 3 more Supreme Court justices, that the Demonrat party is finished?

Kankles blew through $1.5 billion and DJT spent less than half of that.

It’s not just about money, it’s about message also.

What do the Rats have to offer besides Trump hate, raising taxes, open borders, sanctuary cities, more regulations, and waging war on white men?

I’m sort of surprised that, with their lax security, the Dims haven’t been robbed by the Rooskies or Chicoms.

So he said. It was suspected that he had raised hundreds of millions from outside the country, BUT Obama just said ‘that money came from small donors and each donation was under $200, so we don’t have to report it’. AND NOBODY MADE HIM REPORT HIS DONATIONS. And he was pResident for 8 years, during which the USA suffered greatly. But he was a Dem and more importantly, he is Black......so we would be RACIST if we didn’t just take his word for it.

Did some of those early and aggressive investments involve money missing from the US treasury when obama was in office?

Well, for one thing, most Dems are serious Christians, so they don’t donate a bunch of their money to their churches. Thus they have more money left over to give to their real religion, which is politics - having power over people so they can exercise their entitlement to make the rules.

Probably billionaires like Soros, Streyer, Bloomberg, other liberal billionaires, and many celebs contribute most of that.
