Democrats -- one presumes -- sent out a false-flag mailer encouraging voters to vote for the libertarian in the race, billing him as the "true conservative" choice.
Well, the Libertarian candidate himself realized he was being used dishonestly as a catspaw for Tester.
So he's quit the race and endorsed the Republican, Matt Rosendale.
The libertarian candidate had been polling at 4% or so; coincidentally enough, 4% is about Jon Tester's lead over Rosendale.
So this could turn out to be a dirty trick that sinks the dirty trickster.
De-Testerable needs to be shown the door.

I’m a conservative living in western NY. My state is a lost cause. In some parts of the country NY Republicans are called “Democrats”. But I can never understand how supposedly “deep red” states (MT, ND) send demholes to the senate
The ONLY HOPE FOR this to benefit the Republican is if the Libertarian’s dropping/endorsing is widely broadcast. You know the media won’t be going out of its way to spread the word. So please, Republicans, stand up commercials broadcasting this action ASAP.

Similar dirty trick in North Dakota: The democrats sent out a flier endorsing the 3rd party “conservative” candidate and dissing the Republican one:
I watched the Montana rally, as I watch nearly every rally.
Matt Rosendale has been about the only candidate who has spoken at a Trump rally who was so poorly spoken he even threw the President off stride when he came back to the mic.
I hope Matt makes it, but boy could he have used some help with public speaking.
Glad to hear there is one libertarian left in the country who doesn’t side with the kook big government leftists. What a refreshing change. Everyone I know who’s libertarian was all for Obama and hates everything GOP. They are so far lost.
That’s why I never vote early.
Too much comes out just before the election.

So far, I’ve seen ONE cuomo sign and that looked like it had been defaced. And I’ve traveled around an awful lot of the state in the last few weeks.
