The Times of Israel is reporting that a new computer virus 'more powerful' than the Stuxnet worm that devastated the Iranian nuclear weapons program in 2010 has been unleashed on Iran's "infrastructure and strategic systems."
While the extent of the damage is unknown, the new virus has been described as “more violent, more advanced and more sophisticated" than Stuxnet. That virus, jointly developed by US and Israel, is believed to have set back the Iranian nuclear weapons programs by several months to several years depending on the source.
The report came hours after Israel said its Mossad intelligence agency had thwarted an Iranian murder plot in Denmark, and two days after Iran acknowledged that President Hassan Rouhani’s mobile phone had been bugged. It also follows a string of Israeli intelligence coups against Iran, including the extraction from Tehran in January by the Mossad of the contents of a vast archive documenting Iran’s nuclear weapons program, and the detailing by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the UN in September of other alleged Iranian nuclear and missile assets inside Iran, in Syria and in Lebanon.
It's interesting that the foiled assassination plot in Denmark came after President Rouhani's phone was penetrated. Was the Iranian leader stupid enough to talk about the plot over his cellphone, tipping off the Israelis?
Referring to Stuxnet, Wednesday’s TV report noted that “in the past, the US and Israel have been alleged to have worked together on operations.” Trying to establish whether Israel had any role in the latest cyberattack, the TV report said: “We’ve tried to clarify here. They’re refusing to comment.”
The TV report noted that “behind the scenes lately, the Mossad,” under its director Yossi Cohen, has been “fighting a real shadow war.”

Iran like Russia is almost comical to watch. If you haven’t read about the Aircraft Carrier mishap I urge you to.
They not only lost the Carrier but their most important dry dock. Real cyber suspicious.
Is it confirmed that they lost the carrier - I know they lost the dry dock.
p.s., I don’t laugh too hard at the Russians, they’ve built some amazing weapons and they can keep their crews alive when their rockets fail. But yes, Iran versus Israel, it’s a friggen comedy show!

Floating dry docks are designed to sink. Once the scuttle valves are closed it can likely be refloated
I’m well aware of Ivan’s capability but when they screw up it is really big.
Ok, but what about the carrier. Did they actually lose it, or was it just gashed at the waterline, as I read?

It has been quite a series of unfortunate events this year.
1) The ship fired small missile launch where the missile did loops and crashed
2) losing two jets off the carrier(the whole deployment for that matter with the smoke and all)
3) Deploying the two new SU-35 fighter jets that broke
4) Getting two or three hundred troops wiped out all at once
5) The latest rocket launch
6) To top it off the carrier and dry dock loss.
I think Ivan needs to stay home for a while.

However, I must admit that I am very concerned that we’re falling behind the Russians...they now proved to the entire world that they have Transformers. Their carrier-containing dry dock transformed into a submarine in just a couple of minutes!!!

Very little they do we don’t know about if it’s going to affect us directly or indirectly. And even when we don’t know til after the fact few if any get their pants in a knot.

In my view, putting sensationalism a side, the dry dock and the carrier settled to the bottom in relatively shallow water.
Both can be refloated.
The question to which I have not seen an answer is what caused the drydock to take on water and settle in place?
The easy answer is that some opened the valves and aallowed the drydock to take on water.
