Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh is declining to accept the more than half a million dollars raised in a Go Fund Me campaign during his bruising confirmation hearings, citing ethical concerns. But the North Carolina man who started the effort said the money would go to three Catholic youth programs that Kavanaugh has supported in the past.
John Hawkins updated the GoFundMe page to reflect Kavanaugh’s decision and to inform those who donated that they could have their money returned if they did not want to support the charities:

I appreciate the generosity, but frankly I would not give money to the Catholic Church until this whole stinking pedophile mess gets resolved.

I’m a cradle Catholic. And my wife would say arguably one of the worst critics of the church. However I go to mass every Sunday. I agree that good priests are like hens teeth these days. But just because 11 of the apostles abandoned Jesus at the cross doesn’t make the apostle John a bad guy. Your comments are a cheap shot at the Catholic Church. Says all we need to know about your lack of character.
Tuition assistance, sports leagues, and a family recreational center. But you thought it would be more clever to take a cheap shot. Feeling proud of yourself?
Kavanaugh is not donating anything. He is declining to take the money. The organizer of the fund has decided that whatever is left after anyone who wants refunds gets them will be donated to the charities.
I felt bad for the guy, but I wasn’t going to vote for him with money.
I don’t always understand why people would donate money to a guy who didn’t ask for it and doesn’t need it.

Kavanaugh is not donating anything. I’m sure he has no problem the the go fund me funds going to those charities however.
The cyo coaches are parents. I do not pay attention to the pope.

Oh, puh-leeeeeeeze. There is a homo-predator priest problem in the Catholic church, but I don’t think it goes all the way into child trafficking.
In fact he specifically declined to even designate any 3rd party charities.
