Democrats in tough races throw their party under the bus
The Hill ^ | 11/02/18 | Alexander Bolton

Democrats in tough Senate races around the country are throwing their party under the bus as they seek to pull out victories in red states won just two years ago by President Trump.

In Missouri, Sen. Claire McCaskill (D) has a radio ad declaring she’s “not one of those crazy Democrats.” She’s in a razor-tight race against Josh Hawley, the state’s attorney general.

In Montana, Sen. Jon Tester (D), whose race against Republican Matt Rosendale has tightened considerably, told The Hill that Democrats “botched” the debate over Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

He also criticized Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s (D) use of DNA results to claim Native American heritage, saying it doesn’t “pass the test.”

In Tennessee and Arizona, former Gov. Phil Bredesen (D) and Rep. Kyrsten Sinema (D), respectively, are telling voters that they will not back Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (N.Y.) for Senate Democratic leader. Trump won both of those states in 2016, too.

In West Virginia, Sen. Joe Manchin (W.Va.) broke with his party and backed Kavanaugh's confirmation.

In Indiana, Sen. Joe Donnelly (D) has a television ad warning of “socialists” who “want to turn health care over to the government" and of the “radical left” wanting to eliminate U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement.

The efforts by these candidates make sense given the plight that the Senate Democrats have found themselves in.

Republicans have a narrow 51-49 majority, but they have chances across the country to build on it despite a political climate in which Democrats are favored to win back the House majority.

ETC...

Trump is setting the terms of the debate.

Democrats have to fall in line or risk losing.

They arean throwing their party under the bus. They are just asking it to stand behind the curtain until November 7.

Obviously they’ve been instructed to call artillery in on their own positions if it will help them get elected.

Not exactly the strategy one would expect from a party that’s confident it’s going to win on November 6th.

YAWN! Just the Democrat way. S.O.P. The Democrat always has someone, or something to blame for whatever they are failing.

Democrats are going the way of the Know-Nothing Party. Presidential results maps are surprisingly similar.

House races are usually seen as “local”.

But if Democrats in the Senate are throwing their own party under the bus then I think even House races start to look more “national” because of the major parties is being rejected by its own members. Who wants to jump on that train?? It might not have a big effect, but I think this disloyal approach by some Senate Democrat can only help the GOP in House races. Certainly can’t help the Left.

Claire McCaskill is not “one of those crazy Democrats”. She is her own brand of crazy.

And Jon Tester should be turned out to pasture, to live his remaining years in some liberal enclave in Montana, reflecting on the scurrilous and unwarranted attack he made on Admiral Ronny Jackson. Until then he had not really earned the wrath of President Trump.

But Tester still followed orders and voted ‘no’ against Kavanah.

They have to run away from the things Democrats stand for because they are so unpopular.

No real American wants their country over run with fraudulently documented foreigners.

If Democrats ever ran as Democrats in any state outside of the Dark Blue they would never end.

They are NFG LIARS!

Really? How many times did you vote against them?
With them?
Yeah I thought so!

Exactly.

They are simply behaving as Progressives have since the movement was formed.

They must deceive the voters in order to gain power. They they do what they want.

It is a basic, fundamental attack on the idea of democracy and self government.

It is hard for them to succeed without a supportive media.

Unfortunately, the Media and Progressives have been mostly the same for 50 years.

“...….. Democrats are favored to win back the House majority”

Don’t believe everything that the “fake news” media would have you believe. Granted, some have predicted close races but then, Hitlary was supposed to win the presidency too.

The “proof” will be known on November 7th. Get out and vote REPUBLICAN (even if you hate those with an “R” behind their name, we can sort them out later). We cannot afford to lose this race.

Yep. Just trying to fake out the voters, run the bait and switch again, as usual for rats.

Folks...the real truth about this upcoming Mid-Term Election is not about the Democrat Blue Wave or, the Republican Red Wave....it is about the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity the American voters have in their hands via their votes to completely “politically” defeat & destroy the entire Democrat Party!!!

You voting good folks out there in America-Land realize that if the Democrat Party loses both the House and Senate next Tuesday, November 6, 2018...the Democrat Party that very evening will instantly become politically dead from A-Z for many years to come.

Folks the choice is in your hands. IMHO...I say broom that Failed Democrat Party from A-Z!!! Do it!!!

Dems have no ideas they can sell...

They had ideas, but they are ideas that won’t win them elections... so they can’t campaign on them.. because when they are honest about who and what they are, they lose, outside fo the urban coastal enclaves.

So, Trump owns the debate, because the Dems can’t argue their side...because if they do, they lose. So, just call Trump names

There’s a democrat US House candidate in Maryland running an ad showing him target shooting with scary black pistols and pronouncing that he won’t vote with Pelosi.

Might as well vote for the incumbent republican then. He’s against gun control and won’t vote for pelosi either.
