Big Blue Drip: California Republicans are turning out early and big
Legal Insurrection ^ | 11/02/2018 | Leslie Eastman

Midnight blue California is often cited as an indicator of national trends.

If this is still the case, then the big blue wave predicted by some pollsters and progressive pundits will become a big blue drip. Early voting in the Golden State is trending bright red.

Election Day is around the corner and Californians have been voting for three weeks. Given the data on who has voted so far, it does not point to a big surge for Democrats.

There are scores of first time candidates running for office but actual voter turnout in California so far has been average for a midterm election.

KPIX 5 talked to an expert who says, this trend is bad news for Democrats.

“What we’re seeing in the early returns though, is that the early returns are largely coming from those older, whiter, homeowners, more Republicans,” said Paul Mitchell, Vice-President of Political Data, Inc. “And young voters are not returning their ballots at the same rate.”

The response from Republicans may prevent the Democrat Party takeover of the House of Representatives, complete with Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Any report, opinion, assertion, or prognostication that indicates the Democrats are going to win big next Tuesday will be nuclear-grade gas-lighting.

I am going to go out on a limb, head to the edge of a branch, and grab a leaf to predict that when the actual votes are tallied Nov. 6th, the Republicans are going to make significant gains across the country. And while I am skeptical that the GOP will take the California governor’s race, I believe that the Democrats won’t be flipping as many of the state’s congressional seats as initially projected.

VOTING FOR THREE WEEKS!!! When in the hell did we start voting in April for a November election?? Why have an election day when some states are voting year round?? This really supplies the voting cheats because they vote by mail, then show up at the polling place to vote and get their check from Soros. What the heck happened to VOTING DAY in America??

We live in the hotly contested Tenth District. I always vote but my husband sometimes misses the midterms. This year he is taking a day of vacation so he can be in town to vote Tuesday morning. (He works about three Congressional districts away from home.) We are hoping our Republican representative holds on to his seat. He’s not perfect but is world’s better than his opponent.

Vote early
California voters can also vote before Election Day. The early voting period runs from Monday, October 8 to Monday, November 5, but dates and hours may vary based on where you live. You can look up when and where to vote early at GetToThePolls.com.

So your vote is still to come, good news!

It’s not early voting. It’s absentee ballots mailed early and can be as high as 30% of the total vote in some areas.

The mailed in ballots remain sealed until the polls close on election day and will be reported first.

Conclusions can be drawn from who is returning the ballots, not votes but just tends.

Absentee ballots by mail. We have been doing that for years now.

I think if Rohrabacher (my former congressman) wins, we’re looking at a pretty good night and can all breath a sigh of relief that at least the blue wave was a myth, albeit Nanzi may yet pull it off by a few seats. If we hold Congress, thank Trump.

I always vote on election day, it feels good to me. I only once voted early, as I was going to be out of town.

Democrats can’t take the House if they don’t win 7 GOP Calif districts, so far it looks good in Calif.

CA will return 14 Republicans to the House this year.

Same as 2016.

I wouldn’t get carried away with early voting...each early vote is exactly one vote, worth the same as a vote on election day.

The Dems were crowing about their early vote results in 2016.

Is it true that early voting allows Democrats time to manufacture enough votes to win and that’s why they’re for it?
