In my neck of the woods we are down to one provider this year after checking the Obamacare website. Looks like BCBS pulled out. Monthly rates didn’t change that much, but it looks like deductibles went up..
We had one here last year in my area. This year I was surprised to see there were three.
It’s interesting how most of the discussion about how bad the plans are center on the high deductibles or premiums. My issue is none of my doctors, and I mean NONE, are in the networks for these plans.
I called a couple of my doctors to confirm, thinking maybe the info on the obamacare and provider sites might be outdated, but they all said the same thing. To find a doctor who accepts these plans would mean traveling to the inner city near me (not even the city in which I live) because none in my area that they knew of take any of the plans.
