In my part of NC BCBS is the only provider for private insurance policies. Deductible is up $100 per person ($6700) and premium is going up $150 per month to $2452 per month. So much for “affordable” health care. I’d much rather have the $650 per month, $5000 deductible plan I had before Obamacare was passed.

Why hasn’t the GOP attempted to repeal Obamacare since McCain’s death? Force the Dems to explain it during an election year. Could it be this is like open borders, a concept they claim to the voters they are against but quietly support for the big donors?

You raise a good point. Kyl replaced McCain. They should have tried it again unless someone else was ready to back out..

Just a semi-educated guess here. By the time Kyle was seated, the fight was on for the Kavanaugh nomination, which was a must-win. Most of Obamacare is already dead. Which fight was the more important to win?

That’s exactly why. The Koch Bros. types agree with Soros more than they disagree. Socialized medicine, open borders, etc. They love it all.

Because 1. The Republicants don’t want to repeal it, and 2. The democraps are running on restoring it. It’s time that Trump says, to hell with both parties and recind the 0blama EO exempting them from mandatorily buying 0-Care.

The GOP was never serious about repealing Obamacare for the same reason they restored the Medicare cuts from the original Obamacare law: because Obamacare as it stands now screws younger people for the benefit of older people ... and older people are more likely to be Republican voters.
