Then remember as soon as Trump was elected, Romney managed to worm his way over to Trump Tower looking to be appointed Secretary of State.
Now he's running for senate and still never misses an opportunity to vilify the man who won the presidency when Romney was too incompetent to win it himself.
Romney is either a complete idiot, which is of course possible, or more likely being completely disingenuous.
And he’s sort of proving the point. One thing to keep in mind while it sometimes sounds like the president says something “extreme” or off the cuff and unscripted - he is not mistaken, nor is he exaggerating.
Listen to what he says. Not what someone else says he says. And this is the point. He says “fake news is the enemy of the people.” And they are. That’s not the same thing as branding the entire media complex now is it?
The press does this to itself. The president pointed out that there were or are a number of criminals included with the hordes of illegal aliens coming to America. The press then dutifully twists his words, puts words into his mouth that he did not say - “The president is calling all immigrants rapists!!” And everybody runs with it.
This is part and parcel of how the fake news operates, and they use every dishonest trick in the book, smear tactics, guilt by association and other unethical practices. Romney is a pussy if he will not acknowledge that plain fact and come out swinging. They pulled that same kind of crap on him during his campaign. One would think he would know better.
He would be a good ally and spokesman, instead, he’s carrrying their water.
