Grover Norquist is brain-dead. He thinks Trump shouldn’t have brought up illegal immigration so close to the election. Will this idiot EVER stop weeping over illegals?

Exactly. The ‘economic message’ is in our pocketbooks.

i sure do not hear much about the economic message from the GOP

and it is a WINNING Issue, everyone can see how the economy has started a good recovery from the 8 years of Obama attacks on business and employment/jobs

even folks who don’t have work yet, can SEE how there ARE more and more jobs available under PDJT... so they can have good hope now with a R victory in this election!

Trump talks about it and if the candidates haven’t, it ain’t his fault.

Luntz’s hair-hat glue must be seeping into his brain. Neither he nor Norquist is a true “Republican”, and both are hoping for a Trump fail. Screw ‘em. Vote.

I don’t know what these “strategists” are thinking. The economic message has been quite coherent and consistent, unemployment down, manufacturing jobs up, the economy is doing well due to the consistent and coherent economic messaging/policy from this administration.

Luntz has never met a buffet he could pass up. He’s Michael Moore’s distant cousin or such.. All these pollsters grow fat on their reputations, which is bloated , like them.

Part time of the problem is that it’s hard to keep Trump on message.

Republicans are bracing for the loss of the House of Representatives with operatives citing the lack of a coherent economic message////

There hasn’t been a coherent message about anything at the local level. It’s been ~250 separate, compartmented, races. Those in the safe districts take care of their knitting, while leaving the tossups to fend for themselves.

In VA some idiot named Wittman in a safe district next to Dave Bratt runs ads about how he eats breakfast in VA instead of DC. Doesn’t even mention he’s a republican. In the meantime Bratt fights for his life.

Ryan has thrown the house to the dogs. McCarthy runs self promoting ads oblivious to whether there will be a GOP majority to exploit. If this gets pulled out Trump gets all the credit.

My prognosis from here on CT,

Thad Gray (R), first-time candidate, will win the open State Treasurer race.

Other than that, clean sweep by Dems. Lamont (Com) wins by at least 2%. Lefty voters are dedicated to their agenda and Stef doesn’t appeal to enuf of em.
I hope I end up surprised

I am optimistic about 45 states.

I don’t think this is a good year for a cohesive national message. One of the problems I see locally is that GOP House incumbents are doing poorly in states that are mismanaged at the state level by DEMOCRATS. Go figure.

"That’s our job, we have to clean the House and the Senate. We have to stop electing Bush League Republicans like Graham, Rubio, Alexander, etc. who vote for amnesty and against enforcement."

For example, William Timmons, the Republican who will replace Trey Gowdy in the House, is a Lindsey Graham.protege, campaigning on "compromise" and protecting the environment . He is not what we need to advance the Trump agenda.

I can’t think of one SC politician that is not a Bush League Republican.
