Voters in the most hotly contested districts around the nation say their midterm votes count as much or more as they do in a presidential election, a new poll showed Sunday.
The CBS News Battleground Tracker, conducted by YouGov, found 26 percent of respondents think the midterms Tuesday matter more than the presidential election, while 67 percent say it matters just as much.
In a breakdown by party, 34 percent of Democrats say their midterm votes matter more than a presidential election, while 16 percent of Republicans say that.
The poll also found 55 percent of Democrats would be angry if the other party wins, while 35 percent of Republicans say they would be mad if Democrats won.
In other findings, the survey found:
71 percent of Democrats say their vote is more about stopping things from happening, while 69 percent of Republicans said theirs is motivated by things they want to happen. Seven in 10 voters say their vote will be about President Donald Trump; among that group, however, 34 percent say they will vote for him and 38 percent say they will vote against him. The poll's margin of error is plus or minus 1.6 percent.

Ooh look.
An online poll.
That’ll be accurate.
If Republicans turn out in 2016 numbers, the useless democrat Party will cease to exist.
There turning out in those numbers and more. You can tell by mere observation of Trump’s rallies.
If the biggest rally won the midterms, that would be great :)
It’s a good sign but he’s not running.
And the redrawing of districts in some places should make for an interesting night Tuesday.
Either way we will know soon enough.
Palin rallies were huge
“The poll also found 55 percent of Democrats would be angry if the other party wins, while 35 percent of Republicans say they would be mad if Democrats won.”
That right there illustrates the poll is absolute
horsesh!t. There is no way on Gods green earth that 2/3rds of Republicans wouldn’t be royally PO’d if the Libtards took over the House.
But McQueeg was on the top of the ticket and he was being paid to lose to Zero.
Interesting. I have been a pretty avid Republican volunteer in my state since 1994. I have been a Republican chair on mt BPOU and am currently vice chair. I live in a decidedly Democrat US House District.
In 2016 I was so pessimistic that I implied to my co-Republicans that I was done. When clinton won we no longer had a country, and our efforts were a waste of time.
I live in Minneapolis MN where there is so much voter fraud that we won't see a Republican US Representative in my lifetime.
In 2016 my barber told me Trump would win, and you could see it in the enthusiasm at his rallies. Such has never really changed.
I am dying for the 2016 race to end. I hope my barber continues to be right.
Just as good as the phone polls..
Remember Hillary won right? Err wait.
Anyone notice how all the pundits are starting to couch their predictions in the last couple days?
Today especially. It seems like pundits are telling democrats, its not good.
Not like Trumps
YouGov online BS.
These polls remind me of the 2016 election. Where all the experts, journalist, polls, analysts, anchors and hogjawed talkers told everyone Trump didn’t stand a chance. The billionaire bozo would never even be nominated.
“Today especially. It seems like pundits are telling democrats, its not good.”
Was stuck in a deer stand all day listening to NPR and there seemed to be a lot that going around.
It really does remind me of the final days of 2016 where the sorta said maybe trump wins. Not quite as direct as today but I think some democratic reporters deep down knew what was to happen.
The difference between us and them in a nutshell. They are more concerned in blocking anything President Trump proposes, not because they deem it bad, but because it was HIS idea.
Trump is the president of a lifetime and he is on a roll. We will never see the likes of him again. We cannot afford two years of Democrat obstruction just as Trump is hitting his stride.
Should the Republicans maintain control of both houses (and I think they will), it will be full speed ahead.
Imagine what Reagan could have accomplished had he had control of both houses of Congress! I think he had control of the Senate for only two years and of course never had the House at all.
Democrats are really spoiled brat children (and worse).
