Populist Le Pen Edges Ahead of Globalist Macron as French President’s Approval Hits All-Time Low
Breitbart ^ | 5 Nov 2018 | Oliver JJ Lane

Marine Le Pen’s Rassemblement National (RN, formerly Front National) party has moved ahead of beleaguered globalist Emmanuel Macron’s En Marche! (LREM) in voting intention polls for 2019’s European Union elections.

The Ifop poll, published Sunday, is the first time Le Pen’s populist conservative party has moved ahead of Macron’s recently founded governing LREM centrist group in an EU elections poll, reports Euractiv.

While the latest figures putting Macron at 19 percent resemble only a slight one point fall from the last polling, they see much bigger gains for Le Pen, who has jumped four points to 21 percent in three months. As recently as may, Macron’s LREM was polling as high as 27 percent.

The damning headline figures follow an increasingly troubled leadership for President Macron himself. Breitbart London reported last week that his personal approval rating had sunk to an all-time low, with just 21 percent of French voters saying they viewed his presidency favourably.

While his popularity with left-wing voters remained stable, it saw a fall among centrist electors, a crucial group whose support he gained to take the presidency in 2017.

The change of fortunes for Macron’s party in the upcoming European-wide elections reflects a broader shift across the continent, with Brussels commentators anticipating the 2019 vote to come down to a challenge between the old globalist establishment and the insurgent populist parties.

France's only hope for survival is for Len Pen to win and then for the gov't to strip millions of Moslems of their citizenship and boot them out. Short of that severe but necessary measure, the Frogs don't stand a chance.

Le Pen and other so-called nationalists are the only hope Europe has. Clearly it is only a fleeting hope at this point however.

The French had their chance. Perhaps after 5 years of macroon, in 2022, they’ll be ready to elect someone who will make France great again and kick the muzzies out.

Le Pen is a socialist herself. She’s not going to save France.

Nationalist Socialism isn’t going to save a country any more than Globalist Socialism will.

France is ungovernable. Their militant labor unions are just too strong. Even attempts at tweaking socialism have resulted in bloody street uprisings.

Socialism will only end in France when it fails.

Agreed. Le Pen or Macron or anyone else it won’t make a differnce. France will be a failed state or a Islamic state. It’s only a matter of time.

Correction Monsireur. Marine Le Pen is thankfully not the future of French conservatism...her niece, Marion Marechal IS. She has since dropped the Le Pen name.

Marechal is almost 30 years old, and unlike her aunt is socially conservative, devoutly Catholic, and has a very well rounded scope of ideology that moves beyond mere nationalism.

They can come back from being a failed socialist state.

Not so if they become a failed Islamic state. Then it’s over for good.

I'm not so sure about that. We may live to see Iran have it's Berlin Wall moment.

Shia Iran very well may have its Berlin Wall moment (although it’s unlikely), but even if they did it wouldn’t effect the millions of Sunnis in France and Germany. Western Europeans are learning (albeit dangerously late in the game) that assimilation of their imported hordes of Mohammedans is impossible. Without drastic action taken on that front, Europe is finished.

A president with 19% approval. And yet the euros are constantly trashing the U.S. for its Electoral College system.
Sacre’ bleu!

So 40 years too young to catch Macron's eye, eh?

Good point. Many of them have systems where nobody ever gets a majority but the one that can get the most small parties to sign on in return for some favors and government jobs will get to run things. Somehow that's more democratic than the electoral college.

France is a little different because they have a Presidency and it's not quite a Parliamentary system. There is a Danish TV series called Borgen that you can find online. It's a drama about a woman who becomes the first female Prime Minister (the Danes actually did get their first woman PM shortly after this ran). The plot lines go deep into the horse trading, maneuvering and back-stabbing that takes place amongst the parties in a Parliamentary government. Lot of good looking women in it too.
