In a Northern Va. swing district, will Trump be enough for Democrats to unseat Rep. Comstock?

In a Northern Virginia swing district that is one of the most watched in this midterm election, one-quarter of the electorate can’t really say what they think of state Sen. Jennifer Wexton. But in most polls, the Democrat is comfortably ahead of Rep. Barbara Comstock, the two-term Republican who is ubiquitous.

That phenomenon says plenty about this particular moment in this particular suburban district across the river from Washington, heavy with college-educated, affluent voters and growing immigrant communities. Voters in Virginia’s 10th Congressional District say they want to vote for a Democrat — any Democrat — as a check on President Trump.

Northern VA is very blue. The entire state is red except for the tidewater and the VA suburbs of DC. the state has been trending purple for years and now may be blue.

trouble is that that government workers vote about 95% blue. the feds are the major employer in northern va.

Virginia is gone. Federal government largesse built under Clinton, Bush, and Obama has flooded the DC area with government employees who vote to protect their personal interests at the expense of the country.

Not just the VA GOP, but the state itself. It’s getting bluer by the day, and hatred of Trump rules the day in the dominant northern counties.

I believe that all across America, especially in blue leaning districts, that there are THOUSANDS of closet MAGAistas. For job, family, and social reason they might be reticent to voice their support for President Trump. They probably tell the polling firms that "yeah, I'm voting Dem." But in the privacy of the voting booth and ballot box, they can voice their opinion without fear of recrimination.

Northern VA thru out a State Republican incumbent (in the same district) in 2017 and instead sent a Tranny to the VA House; they are B@+$h!t crazy right now and will probably throw out Comstock.

The whole premise is flawed.
