Give me a good birthday present today! Giftwrap me a Republican House and Senate, and a Republican GA Governor.

And if you recall last time, the more I complained about random things, the better we did. Perhaps I shall do that today.

And most of all, PRAY. Prayer works.

Pardon reposting myself, but:

An interesting note re voting at 9am in my little hamlet (~1,500) in central PA with light rain.

We've always had to show a photo ID, but for the first time that I recall we had an armed constable on duty in the township building where voting occurs.

I'll be real curious to hear from others about the security (or lack) at their polling places, esp. given DJT's recent comments about making this election 'more secure than ever'.

There was a constable at my polling place too. I’m in Eastern PA.

Curious the feeling everyone is getting on the ground. For me the line was like 2016. I am in a mixed 50-50 district.

Turnout in my precinct very similar to 2016. Have important Governor and House races that pit a radical democrat socialist vs. moderate GOP candidate for House, and a solid bulldog conservative vs. screwball progressive for Governor.

Hope the Trump Effect bleeds over from 2016 to 2018.

God Bless America!

In rural eastern PA, there was large turnout. About 180 people waiting in line at 8 am. (polls opened at 7)

My first time voting from this location. I was in the book, but was asked to show ID.

Can’t tell if the reported precinct long lines are a plus for the GOP, DEMs, or both. The DEMs are nearly as much anti-Trump in this election as they were pro-Obama in 2008.

The word Constable was on the back of his shirt, but I didn’t look to see if he was carrying. Not an ordinary policeman as far as I could tell.

Pennsylvania State Constables are sworn law enforcement officers who serve six-year terms and have the duty to preserve the peace and the authority to arrest by warrant anywhere in the Commonwealth

So, I voted during the early voting period here in Tennessee. Straight Red, of course. My wife (an infrequent midterm voter) went with me, and we had lunch later.

My son came home from college, and I didn't let him get out of the driveway before I hoped in his car and he had to go early vote as well.

Spoke about 30 minutes to my son's best friend yesterday, and I talked him into going to vote R today.

Voter engagement doesn't just mean knocking on strangers' doors.

Call a friend today, and make sure they have voted!
