Karina Vetrano Dad Spotted With Club

The grieving father of slain jogger Karina Vetrano left his home Sunday carrying a large club just moments after officials formally told him a suspect had been busted in the sex assault and strangling of his daughter.
He tossed the weapon into a red Kia Soul before driving off with a male passenger around 1 p.m.
About 10 minutes earlier, NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce and Queens District Richard Brown had left the Vetrano home after meeting with the victim’s family and supporters gathered there.
The visit followed a news conference at which the officials announced the arrest of Chanel Lewis, 20, who Brown said will be charged with murder and sex crimes in the deadly, August attack on Karina, 30, in nearby Spring Creek Park.
Lewis is being held at the 107th Precinct in Flushing, Queens, pending his transfer to court for arraignment.
It was unclear where Vetrano went with the club, but he never showed up at the precinct.
He was gone from his house for about 25 minutes before returning with the club.
