Trump berates CNN's Jim Acosta in contentious White House news conference
The Washington Times ^ | November 7, 2018 | S.A. Miller

President Trump on Wednesday admonished CNN reporter Jim Acosta for “rude” behavior and ordered him to sit down during a heated exchange at the White House.

At a press conference, Mr. Acosta repeatedly asked the president about his tough stance against a U.S.-bound migrant caravan was “demonizing” immigrants. He then refused to give up the microphone.

“You are a rude, terrible person. You shouldn’t be working for CNN,” Mr. Trump told Mr. Acosta. “The way you treat Sarah Huckabee [Sanders] is horrible. And the way you treat other people is horrible. You shouldn’t treat people that way.”

Those headlines are a lie.. It was acosta berates Trump... then Trump talked back.

When Acosta refused to sit down and then finally stood back up to interrupt another reporter, I wish Trump would have had security remove him.

I wonder if Acosta realizes his juvenile antics play right into Trumps hands.

That doofus is the poster boy for media bias & incivility.

Buck stops here. CNN told to stop whining.

Meanwhile CNN covered up torture, abuse (including rape rooms), and murder under Sadam Hussein to keep their Baghdad bureau.

Since we had an election yesterday, attention was not focused on Jim “Look at me, I’m Jim” Acosta.

He rectified that situation nicely.

Why in blazes is he still allowed in the WH? He shouldn’t be allowed anywhere on the WH grounds or anywhere within 100 yards of Trump.

Whenever Trump refuses to get pinned down on an answer, or when he refuses the premise of a question, some of these people (I uses that term loosely) hog the mic, refuse to give it up, and talk over other members of the press crops and over the president himself.

Who do these people think they are?

First off, you don’t have the right to force the President to give a specific response that you want, and cross examine him when he doesn’t.

Second, being in that room is a privilege, and if you are rude and hostile during your stay, you should be barred from ever returning. It’s not about the first amendment. Print and say whatever the hell you want. You don’t deserve access when you are belligerent and disruptive.

Third, no one, particularly not the President who is much better informed than you are, has to accept the premise of your preposterous questions. Many of them are not even questions, they are accusations with a question mark, such as asking whether he will “continue to divide America”. It’s not really a question, and deserves to be repudiated.

Acosta needs a visit from that Saudi hit team. But they should forget to bring the v tranquilizer.

One of the most obnoxious press dogs ever.

The press conferences and White House press briefings are out of control. The media are acting like high school students who are disrespectful and unhinged. Time to require all media to attend a refresher course on the proper etiquette for attending such White House events followed by a warning that they will be booted if they fail to follow the rules.
